Borgoguy
Has attending or watching a Jet loss like yesterday's debacle ever caused you to get into an argument with your significant other and/or lose the chance for sex? (For the gals on the Board: Have you thwarted your guy's amorous advances because you were depressed or pissed over the loss?) This situation came up (no pun intended) in an earlier thread, so I thought we could share our experiences.

Especially when your partner doesn't understand the mood you're in after a loss..."it's only a football game" BS. You would think after all these years together, my wife would understand. What will piss me off even more is when we lose by a point or two and she says something like..."they almost won"...maybe she's the smart one not being a fan all these years. MrsBorgoguy is a sick fan--she has shocked people sitting next to us at games with her screaming--but always tries to calm me down by putting a positive spin on things, which I turn into an argument. As I mentioned earlier, I used the brilliantly chosen "why don't you stop talking" phrase after the loss. Not sure if we're talking yet.

Borgoguy
MY ex b/f knew never to call me when the JETS lose. My wife knew a guy at work that would send his entire family out of the house on game days because he was a total nut with screaming, throwing stuff, etc. I'm getting there. Seriously. Borgoguy
You get a day or two of quiet and you're complaining? LOL. You're not married, are you? "Not talking" doesn't mean no snide remarks, sarcasm, or--generally--making my life a living hell. There must be more stories out there in Jet Land. Ranger
Generally I do not get pissed after the jets lose, because I am so ****in used to it. However, there are times (like yesterday) where I had to drive from Atlanta back to Huntsville after the game and i am left to stew over the game. When I made the typical remarks of how I hate the coach, the players suck, i wish everyone would die. Then yeah, she knows to leave me alone. And no, I am not in the mood for sex. JetFanBird
I'm always pissed after a Jets loss. This is the first time the girlfriend has been with me during football season... If she thought yesterday was bad I definitely wouldn't want to be around me if we let the Penny led Dolphins win this division over us.

Midget Love 20
My gf and I just recently started dating, and she's gotten into the Jets heavily because of me and is FINALLY learning to back away when it comes to the Jets losing. The two lines I hate hearing is "Don't worry they did ok" or "They'll come back don't worry" (in reference to them being down 10 pts yesterday with 3 mins left and me expecting the fat L) Nothing beats me losing it during the Thursday Pats game when they scored with :06 left. Luckily for my sanity and relationship's sake they won that game, but for us sick Jet fans L's are recipe for significant others to stay farrrrr away
