Lil Bit Special
http://weblogs.newsday.com/sports/watchdog/blog/2008/12/to_the_surprise_of_no.html To the surprise of no one, Sunday's game between the Cowboys and Steelers - the once-every-four-years meeting between two of the NFL's top ratings-grabbers - drew a season-high 17 percent of homes in 56 major markets on Fox in overnight ratings. In the New York market, the game almost beat out the Jets-49ers game opposite it - averaging 9.5 percent of homes compared to 9.8 for Jets-Niners. (The Eagles-Giants game earlier on Fox scored a healthy 18.1 rating, which measures overall TV homes, as well as a 38 share, which measures the percentage of TVs actually in use.) Speaking of football ratings, the Florida-Alabama game on CBS Saturday was watched in an estimated 10.4 percent of homes in major markets, the highest ever for an SEC title game since the game debuted in 1992. It was the highest-rated regular season college game on CBS since a USC-Notre Dame game in 1989.
124
If you were a Giants fan would you be watching Dallas-Pittsburgh knowing that if the Cowboys lose you win your division or would you be watching the Jets and 49ers and hear countless times how great Brett Favre is? Gee, lemme think. Not to mention Dallas & Pittsburgh are probably the two biggest worldwide fanbases in the NFL.
4HCrew
As an NFL fan you would watch Boys/Steelers for a variety of reasons, especially when they are both playing well. The Favre factor in NY has dwindled

Fishooked
Not to mention the fact that the Steelers and Boys have spawned generations of bandwagon jumpers to boot, not just here, but everywhere.
