124
Anybody else really enjoying this game between two really good teams who thrive on running the ball, defense and a short passing game and hey, it can actually work for them for more than two, three weeks at a time? Simply amazing. Oh and I guarentee Tampa Bay won't get away from the running game just because they're down by one touchdown.
serphnx
Did you catch the halftime show? They did a piece on Pennington. They also mentioned something I've been saying for a few weeks, Pennington has more yardage than Favre. But don't worry, Favre has a higher completion percentage! Lil Bit Special
The game would be a lot better with other announcers. They suck. And we could beat both of these teams in the Super Bowl.

124
I love, love, LOVE Carolina. They are just an awesome team to watch and have been since 2003. A team with a solid QB, a top five receiver surrounded by possession guys who don't drop passes (mostly Mushin Muhammed) and have a two headed workhorse at running back that is hard to stop. Not to mention one of the best Defensive Ends in the league as well. 17-17, the 3rd quarter has been non stop scoring. Hopefully it continues. Love when teams make adjustments. Amazing what a couple can do for a team. Wow. Maybe the New York Jets should try it sometime. Nah. We'll just out smart them.
BroadwayJoe12
A few things. Monte Kiffin is a fantastic defensive coordinator and when Ronde Barber said that everything he's accomplished is because of Monte and putting him in the right place to make plays...well, I just want a DC that the players on our team could say that about. Secondly. I think a lot of the complaints about not running the ball as much isn't taking the context of the game into account. We only had 46 snaps on offense and ran the ball i think 12 times?? Yes, that's not nearly enough, but a good chunk of those snaps came when we needed to score quickly and had to abandon the run. If Keller catches that 3rd-2, we probably would have seen another handful of runs. The problem wasn't necessarily that we abandoned the run, but just couldn't put together a sustained drive that gave us the 30 extra snaps we usually get an run the ball 20 more times. We're not an explosive team, we need to stop teams on 3rd and out and convert on ours. This allows us to keep them off the field and gives us a chance to play with the lead. That having been said, I still think it was a pretty poorly called game.
124
Hey Mangini & Schottenheimer, look at that. A defense coached by Monte Kiffen with guys like Ronde Barber, Derrick Brooks, Barrett Ruud and Gaines Adams and check it out, when they pound the ball (their strength, like ours) magical things happen like the chains move. Hmmm.. Imagine that. Sticking to the game plan. Pounding the ball when that is clearly your strength. Hmmmm. CRAZY PANTHERS!

CRAZY PANTHERS! our coaches are too stupid for that to make sense to them. . instead of seeing this and maybe actually thinking about applying it to our team, mangini is sitting there pounding a box of krispy kreme and washing it down with chocolate syrup. 124
Wow. Anyone catch that grab made by Antonio Bryant? Insane. He's having an outsanding game. 9 receptions, 200 yards, 2 TD's. This guy is either great or invisible. If only he could put it together for a couple of years in a row.

124
DeAngelo Williams is having an outstanding game. Nobody can tackle him. Nobody. 19 carries, 186 yards, 2 TD. Not too shabby of a night for Jonathan Stewart either. 15 carries, 115 yards, 2 TD. I wish we had a balanced attack similar to that on our offense. Maybe 25 carries for TJ and 10 for Leon. That would be nice. No more 17 and 3. We are a running team and need to run the ball exactly like that. Run. Run. Run. Defense & running wins championships. 124
You think Steve Smith is a possession receiver? I said Smith is a top five receiver surrounded by possession receivers. I would think you would know that "top five receiver" is referring to Smith, not Dwayne Jarrett. My name is not 5180.
