SouthernJet
Obviously have to do something. Way to beat us has been exposed since KC game . read where Barton said coaches made NO adjustmenst at halftime of SF game What will we do?? shawn306
I think somehow, someway you have to generate a pass rush. If it means sending 7 guys to go get the QB so be it. Make the QB beat you. Don't let them sit back with all day to throw. Make them make a play. If they do, tip your hat to them and get after him again. There is no way a QB's like Tyler Thigpen, Shaun Hill, Matt Cassell or even last year when Trent Edwards made his Buffalo debut that they should be allowed under any circumstances to sit back there with all day to throw. Don't sit and wait for the QB to make a mistake. Force the damn issue.

Matt39
The defense was getting lucky early with all of the fumbles we were getting. WHen teams hold onto the ball, we simply cant stop them. Were at the top of the league for forced fumbles and at the bottom with INT's. Not good, considering I think fumbles are more associated with luck moreso than INT's. CTM
I think Mangini's working on a drop 11 rush 0 approach for this week since Losman like to throw it deep. We'll take that away..
newjakecity
I think Mangini's working on a drop 11 rush 0 approach for this week since Losman like to throw it deep. We'll take that away.. Honestly after seeing time after time again of the 3 man rush on Sunday, I was saying we might as well drop 11 back. After all, we'll likely get just as much pressure on the quarterback rushing 0 men as we currently do rushing 3 men. Seriously, Mangini and Sutton need to watch tapes of the old Pats* defenses (the system that ours supposedly comes from) and see what they did right in terms of when to blitz and how to disguise blitzes. For some reason, these douches seem to have forgotten how to blitz (or disguise the blitz). I don't care who the quarterback is (or who is in the secondary): If you give a quarterback that has made it to the NFL (from Manning to Thigpen) seven seconds to throw, he will find an open receiver. So what adjustments can they make? See above. What adjustments will they make? None

None belly and tuna always use a spy vs a qb that has escape ability,,lb usually a spy and he slowly moves along line with qb movement slowly moving in but not biting on any fakes,,

SeniorFlaJet
Mangini just announced what adjustments will be made this week on ESPN... All LBs will tighten their shoulder pads. All defensive backs will wear the heavier jerseys for month of December. All defensive players will wear a new Nike sneaker that will make them run faster. slowmoe57
Weren't we one of leading teams in sacks several weeks into the season. We have abandoned the Blitz. When I was watching the dreaded 3 man rush it was like watching a school bully holding back the smaller guy by just holding the top of the head. It was useless

Harry85
Let Gholston loose!! This spot duty is not helping him or anyone else, and Bryan Thomas is looking like his old self again too. Im curious if Gholstons troubles getting to the qb is due to the coaching schemes and the lack of others rushing. Its tough to get to the qb with jus 3 down lineman and such. Not tryng to make any excuses for the VG but with some creativity like the steelers and other teams Gholston could be more of a stud than James Harrison or Joey Porter when it comes to wrecking havoc in the backfield. Arsis
Our D can make a lot of adjustments... they will make none. We should stop having our big run stopping pass rushing backers covering RB's and TE's. Lets just get to the QB on every play. Give up the pass, as long as you hit the QB. Give up the big play, as long as you hit the QB. Just put the QB on his ass on every play and see how they play it from there. Of course our secondary can't cover ..... you're giving the WR's an extra 5-6 seconds to get open.

It was useless I'm almost done beating this dead horse, but they blitzed plenty! Check the highlights on nfl.com. They rushed 5 on almost every play that SF got a highlight on. In fact the times they rushed three were a screen and the Bowens interception. That's one reason you don't blitz every down. Deception. When a guy they expect to come drops it confuses the QB. Not all inexperienced QBs wet themselves under the blitz. Real pressure can make anybody wilt, but the Jets cannot bring consistent real pressure because they don't have the horses. Bugg
CAN WE BLITZ KERRY RHODES ONCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So he can stand there after not geting anywhere near the QB with his check me out BS after ANOTHER 3rd and long completion for an 1st down? He got paid, so now he doesn't much care. He does lead the NFL in unearned struttting attitude as if his shelf is collapsing under the weight of his Lombardis, so we got that goin' for us. NorthCoastJetsFan
Adjustments? The reason the Jets don't make adjustments is because that is a 5th grade word and the coaching staff hasn't gotten there yet. Harris said the same thing Barton did... nothing at halftime.
