Milk, the true story of political activist/elected official Harvey Milk is a stunning film that draws you in from frame one and doesnt let go.

Milk, was the 1st openly gay elected politician in the US in mid 1970s. The fact he was eventually assasinated in knows to older viewers but is not hidden in film as 1st frame has real documentary footage of Dianne Feinstien (a local poitician at time) announcing his death. The film then goes back 10 years to tell the story of his political and Gay enlightenment.

The story is great but Sean Penn puts in aperformance of alifetime. This film is packed with great performances, james Franco and Josh Brolin, but Penn is in classic form. You cant help but marvel at the acting that he weaves in this film.

Also, for older viewers, the mood and feel of the early 1970s is captured perfectly and has a loo kand fell of that time.

There isnt anything negative to say about this Oscar worthy film. IMHI it gets a Best Picture nomination and a Best actor nomination for Penn. This is a must see.
