LOL! i put her on the list along with kd lang grace slick.. karen carpenter..and some ohters.. and then i thought my list was getting out of hand ;)

but yes sofla.. ann wilson can sing and nancy can really play..

and here's a new one: Anita Baker. Man, what a soulful voice that woman has.

My first thought was Ann Wilson .... there are so many great voices with varied attributes. Then I saw Garb's choice of Anita Baker. All things considered, all genre's, that lady got pipes and if I only have one vote - she gets it. Where is she? We need more of her.

That you mentioned Wendy, who I have often tried to highlight on this board, guarantees my lifelong friendship and respect. Though, I would hasten to add, that Wendy was more of a stage persona rather than a vocalist. For the uninitiated, here's Wendy O. Williams with, IMO, the greatest punk band ever, The Plasmatics.
