Jets | Will the weather affect Favre in Week 16?

Fri, 19 Dec 2008 18:09:06 -0800

The Associated Press reports New York Jets QB Brett Favre is 67-23, including 2-1 this year, when the temperature is 45 degrees or less. However, he is 1-6, including the playoffs, while on the road when the temperature is below 34 degrees. It is expected to be around 34 with snow at kickoff during Week 16. WR Jerricho Cotchery said Favre was throwing the ball like it was 90 degrees out Friday, Dec. 19, when the team practiced in the snow. "He was zipping it and every ball was a spiral. I think he's very comfortable in this weather," Cotchery said.

The Jets played in what could be the same weather just a few weeks ago. The freezing rain game against Denver. Hopefully, Schotty won't call a scripted double reverse today. This is a good thing that the Jets already played in a crappy weather game. The conditions should not affect them much today. Unfortunately, it is not and advantage over Seattle. No team is more experienced in freezing rain games then the gulls' in the Pacific Northwest.
