jetsrule128
2:48 PM: Jets Inactives: K Mike Nugent, QB Brent Ratliff (3rd QB), CB Drew Coleman, S J.R. Reed, S James Ihedigbo, LB Cody Spencer & WR Chansi Stuckey. 2:50 PM: Many of you might be wondering why Stuckey is down. He's appeared in each of the Jets' 14 contests, compiling 28 catches and 3 receiving TDs. But Wallace Wright is a terrific special teams performer and Eric Mangini wants David Clowney in the lineup. The 'Hawks pass defense ranks 32nd in the NFL as they're yielding 260.9 yards per game. I'm sure they haven't watched too much tape on Clowney either and the fastest Jet is an absolute burner. 3:00 PM: As expected, Matt Hasselbeck is the 'Hawks 3rd QB. Seattle's other inactives include QB Jeff Rowe, K Brandon Coutu, S Jordan Babineaux, S Jamar Adams, LB Leroy Hill, LB D.D. Lewis and DT Red Bryant. Bleedin Green
Jets should've deactivated Smith instead of Stuckey, but I guess it comes down to the same issue as Wright: special teams. Glad to see Clowney getting in the game for the second straight week now. Hopefully he can bring another element that this team has been missing. DMaynard
Wow... Clowney for Stuckey... Good move. Stuckey is good, but he gives the same thing as Coles/Cotchery - tough posession receivers. Clowney has the potential to give them something they don't have - a downfield threat.
Maxman
That is a pretty big move for Mangini to make. Keller is basically the # 3 receiver so that made the decision easier for him I am sure. Clowney is going to get his shot. Definitely like how much the Jets respect special teams though (Smith and Wright both active).
Vudu
CLowney huh, hopefully he does more of what he did last week. Good to see Ihedigbo get the boot.
Barton
Good move. Stuckey is good, but he gives the same thing as Coles/Cotchery - tough posession receivers. Clowney has the potential to give them something they don't have - a downfield threat. Stuckey is pretty quick. I'd say Smith is more like Coles/Cotchery than Stuckey. Agreed though, we need to see what Clowney can do.
#27TheDominator
S James Ihedigbo...no surprise there C'mon, I know it's your dream, but you were a little afraid he'd be active. You can admit it, you're among friends here.
