Anyone else have that " I never enjoyed this season from the very beginning" feeling?

Two seasons ago, house money, everyone was ecstatic, we were never expected to do anything, ok. :corn:

Last year, 4-12, pretty much out of it early, no pressure, nothing much to root for other than seeing what Kellen had to offer. Which wasnt much. :rl:

This year, circus from the start with Favre.

Instantly being mentioned as "SB contenders"

Waiting for Favre to 'gell'

All the pressure to win with Tom Brady out.

And after the TN game, it was all a big tease. :disgust:

The Favre experiment has failed. :fan:

I never really got a chance to fully enjoy this season (if that is even possible joy+jets football) :puke2:

This CS has basically PISSED AWAY the last two seasons of our Jets lives. :hand:

I don't know about you, but for the first time ever, I was happy to be a Jets fan after that TN game!!

Even though I knew that there was a very good chance that something like this would happen, I figured, WTF, this is the best I've seen the Jets play in a decade, mine as well enjoy it while I could.

Now, yes, Im depressed. Obviously. But, I cannot say that this season was "wasted" for me like past seasons have been. I had never enjoyed November as much as I had during that winning stretch. We now know what this team is capable of once they develop a chemistry. Find a coach that we are comfortable with for the long haul, and let this team grow and develop.

This franchise has made strides in 'winning games in December'.

To see it come back in all its hideous fashion....inexcusable.

I enjoyed the middle of the season from KC to Ten. Beating Herm, NE, and the undefeated Titans was fun. But outside of that stretch, they never gave us a chance to really enjoy it. First we lost to NE in week 2 with Brady out and then SD. Then we won a couple games, but just as we got going they lost to ****ing Oakland. Then we had that fun stretch in the middle. Then they **** themselves every game over the last 4 weeks.

YES.

My girlfriend is a Packer fan, and we were talking about the Favre trade back in August. I told her Favre was better than Chad, but that it felt weird because the Jets were no longer my team--thanks to the media attention, everyone would be all over the Jets every week. Regardless of what he said, Favre isn't, never has been, and never will be a Jet. I cheered my ass off for him, but the whole thing has been weird.

Add to that all the pressure of the offseason acquisitions and the relentless, murderous fury I feel every time Chad Pennington succeeds in any way, and yes, this season has been more frustrating than most. Definitely the least enjoyable winning season I can remember.

Once we get Fatass & Co. out of here, we can start building a team again, instead of buying one. And, God willing, we'll be building a team for a competent coach, instead of giving a brand-new Porsche to a 16-year-old who just got his learner's permit. So to speak.

It's sad, but today we learned that Mangini is not merely FAIL, or even EPIC FAIL. He is, without question:
