Sunday: 2 possibilities

#1) Jets will beat the fish, NE will lose, so the jets will make the playoffs and promptly lose in the first round. Result: Mangidiot buys one more season for himself - which will turn out to be a 4-12 stinker, and is then fired. Cowher will got to Cleveland in the interim, and Jets will miss the chance to sign him.

#2) Jets will lose and not make the playoffs. Result: Mangidiot is fired by Tannebaum to save his own a$$. Jets pick up Cowher (YES!!!) and possibly Cassel, and start walking the road to respectibility.

I'm optimistic about #2, but after 35 years of watching this team play like shyte or be coached like shyte or both, one can only hope.

But as a true jets fan, #1 is to be expected.

Cassel isnt the answer. He will not succeed outside of Belichick's system.

And even if we miss the playoffs Cowher isnt coming here. We're the freaking Jets. Good things dont happen to us, and if they do, it will turn to sh!t quickly (see Favre, Brett)

Really? Are those it?

What about the Jets beating Miami, New England beating Buffalo and Jacksonville beating Baltimore and the Jets getting in as the Wildcard?

Or how about the Jets losing, which means who cares what New England and Baltimore do, and Bill Cowher pick the Browns or another organization over the Jets anyway or maybe even choose not to come back for yet another year.

Or how about if the Ravens and Patriots planes both go down Marshall University style and the Jets & Dolphins have to play each other twice in six or seven days?

****, anything is possible.

Just for the sake of completeness.

#3 Jets beat the fish, NE wins, Jax wins. Following week Jets go to Foxboro and lose.
