And what are basing this profound statment on? 1-tom brady will be back next year...no division titles for anyone else for the next 5 years 2-bill cowher to the Jets 3-is miami playing the rams, 49ers, raiders, chiefs and seabags next year?? Gainzo
We'll see about Brady. And you're ASSUMING about Cowher. As for the schedule, didnt you guys lose to the 49ers, Raiders and Seabags? Didn't you guys play all those teams at 1PM at home? Correct me if I'm wrong but the Dolphins didn't play one game in the pacific timezone. How many times have teams turned things around by playing a last placed schedule? Plenty.

CTM
Exactly. Theres no excuse for beating the Pats and Titans on the road, but losing to those 3... Of course there isn't. WHy do you think we all want our coach fired? It doesn't change the fact that your version of those games where much less challenging. I think Pacific teams coming east and playing at 1 are something like 1-15 this season. That's a tremendous logistical advantage and it's certain possible that had you played all 4 games out west that you'd have gone 2-2 instead of 4-0. Right? Can you Dolphin fans please admit that you had a huge advantage playing those teams at home while the Jets and Pats played them on the road? The Pats had an advantage over the Jets in that they put in a request to only make 2 West Coast trips. The NFL granted that request and the Pats played the 49ers and Chargers back to back and then the Raiders and Seahawks back to back. That allowed the Pats to stay on the West Coast. Both the Jets and Pats played prime time games in San Diego and got crushed. That would be the same San Diego team that lost to the Bills and Dolphins on the East Coast. CTM
Can you Dolphin fans please admit that you had a huge advantage playing those teams at home while the Jets and Pats played them on the road? No, they can't. They'd rather keep up thsi facade that there team is an 11-5 juggernaught that's a piece or two away from big things. Jets fans and managment were under the same delusion in 2006. We beat the Pats in foxboro that year! Hopefully they get what's coming to them this week. The Pats had an advantage over the Jets in that they put in a request to only make 2 West Coast trips. The NFL granted that request and the Pats played the 49ers and Chargers back to back and then the Raiders and Seahawks back to back. That allowed the Pats to stay on the West Coast. While I agree it's an advantage, it turns out our coach requested they be spread out rather then bunched together. You at least made your own advantage. The Dolphins have played hard, smart football and have been excellently coached. They've been mentally tough, good in the clutch and have been doing what they needed to to win. None of that changes the fact that had they been playing a tougher schedule they wouldn't be playing for their 11th win this week. heck even this week, you are catching the Jets at the absolute best time to catch them. In terms of the Jets, they are an absolutely disgrace. An unmitigated disaster. Never in my years of following a professional sports teams have I seen anything remotely as pathetic as what this team has done since winning in TN. (I'm not a Mets fan btw) It's not even the losing as much as it is the way in which they did it. I truly don't feel like this team has given their total effort in a month. RIGHT NOW, I'm happy Chad's getting what we NEVER gave him, respect. I'm heartbroken by this franchise. No offense to you, Favre, you were wronged, by being given the 2007 playbook. Chad, I can't root for you because you wear the orange and aqua cheerleader colors, but what you've done up to now should be enough. I'm proud of you because I've always appreciated your loyalty to our team. If I had known they were not going to change the offense in ANY single way, I would've screamed louder, but I fell in love with Favre's arm, and what I thought our O would look like. Hey, who knew Mangini will NEVER coach again on the NFL level, EVER! KOTITELAND sound good to you, GINI! you f@got! Chad, I hope we kick your a$$ sunday and we back in (do we ever get in any other way?) But, we should be coached by interim HC Mike Westhoff and practice the no huddle all week, screw christmas. I'm a Pats fan and have had season tickets since 1992. 2). Teams put in requests to the NFL when it comes to home games. Jerry Jones requested that the Cowboys play the Ravens at the last Texas Stadium game http://www.profootballtalk.com/2008/12/22/cowboys-hand-picked-ravens-for-texas-stadium-finale/ That didn't work out very well. 3). I'm not downplaying what the Dolphins have accomplished this season. 4). I am downplaying how they have won those 10 games. That last tplaced schedule is awesome for a crappy team to rebound. 5). Chad Pennington isn't taking you to the promised land. Sorry man.
JiFtheOracle
It so funny how people forget the liability that Chad was to this team. Chad was great this year. No doubt. The fins just seem to get that TD drive when they absolutley need it. Its been fun to watch...nerve wrecking though, Agreed. It's been impressive, they show heart too, which I admire. They always seem to be 1 play better at the end and you make the play when it presents itself. The difference between the teams is shocking that regard. For instance, I have no doubt that the behind him, one handed grab for the game winning TD by Fasano would've been tipped up and intercepted if it were the Jets. You guys should be real psyched about the future down there. As a Jets fan I really hope you suffer from what the Jets did in the offseason leading into 07, they over estimated their abilities based on the the WC the year before and took a very passive approach to upgrading their team. If you do that, you'll be in for a setback year 2, guaranteed. As to Sunday, our only chance at winning is to blow you out. If the games close, there's no way this team of cupcakes pulls it out.
