For those of you that have been to Giants Stadium for a game plese give me your input. I'm going to the game Flying out the day after Christmas with my gf who unforunatley is a jets fan. I'm usually a you know what at the games because i've obly been to my stadium where i'm comfortable. I plan on being as cordial and low-key as possible but will def be rockin my fins gear. Should i expect issues with Jets fans or are you guys ok for the most part. Hate to put my girl in a bad situation and ruin our trip by getting into a scuffle. Give me some input. Also i'm sitting upperdeck

I didn't ask for your opinion on Chad's performance on Sunday. Maybe re-read the original post

Simple rule of thumb for all visiting fans, at any stadium, if you want to avoid problems.

Do not wear your teams gear, or if you do, do not ride the home town fans. If your team is winning, don't bust balls (there are more of them than you). If your team is getting waffled, be prepared to take some ribbing and take it like a man.

I expect remarks about my fins gear and stuff of that nature...it won't bother me. But sitting in the stand and having some jerk off dump beer on me or something is what will certainly blow my top. I would feel like a pansy if i traveled all that way and didn't wear my gear...screw that.

If you want no trouble just dont wear the bright teal... go with white... I dont think anyone will do more than make comments... dumping beer is just an ******* thing to do... but keep in mind there are going to be some PISSED off fans there...

I'll echo everyone else....

Act like an assh0le and you will have problems.

Cheer your team but dont get too crazy with it. Thats where problems start is fans overacting to a big play/td. remember, you arent in your house and people automatically hate you so you need to watch yourself. And make sure your girl doesnt mouth off at others... women cause too many problems by running their mouth and not having to fight.

And I'd bring a pen to write down the phone # to send a text message to security when Jet fans start bothering you. Being a Dolphin fan, Jets fans will automatically assume you are with a hooker trying to cover up your gayness.

And have fun.... hope you have a parking pass... and stop by the JN tailgate...

My motto is if you don't talk **** and mind your own business you'll be fine. if anybody threw a beer at me id be swinging first and asking questions later.

You can wear your Dolphins gear. I'm sure the place will be flooded with Dolphin fans. I'm bringing two with me myself. :smilies2_puke:

You can cheer on your team but do it with respect. If you talk football with the people around you, you most likely will have no problems. If you start the my team is better than yours taunting BS then expect to have problems. As a fan that has traveled into enemy territory and wearing my Jets gear with only my GF with me (including NE, BUF, and Philly), I can tell you I have not felt in danger because even though I do cheer for my team at away stadiums, I show respect to other teams and fans.

well put. I've been to quite a few Fin games at opposing stadiums. If one wants a punch in the nose, then taunt. I have never ever held back nor would I ever consider toning it down when it comes to cheering a TD, greta play, etc. Then again I have never taunted. Therefore I have NEVER, knock on wood, had a problem....(well, except for one time when a Jaguar fan continued to taunt ME). A true fan won't give one a problem for an opposing fan rooting for his team because he knows the importance and joy of watching your team succeed.

One tip. If you go nuts for a great play, especially if it's a game wrapper, do NOT make eye contact with an opposing fan while jumping up and down, as that will be seen as taunting.

Just don't taunt, be respectful, and REPRESENT OUR FINS!!!! I don't think I've ever met a 'true' Jets fan I didn't like. In fact, if you befriended some Jet fans around you and later in the game an obnoxious drunk Jet fan gave you ****, I think you'd be safe.

DON'T TAUNT!!!

Was that the game the Dolphins lost 62-7? Worst playoff performance I have ever seen.

Jets fans at the Meadowlands are cool.

dolphann4life sounds like he wants to make trouble if anything remotely bad happens to him.
