Give Up? Or Fight Till The End?

NY JETS 29

Recommended Posts

The Jets offense and defense still haven't made any adjustments since the Denver game. that is just awful coaching and incompetence, and I don't expect anything different this week.

What is shocking is how different Mangini is coaching now that he has talent. he was a much better coach in 2006 when the Jets had no running backs.

Even if the Jets make it to the playoffs, we will be exiting quickly.

It's a lose lose scenario. Mangini is coaching for his job this Sunday.

That's what annoys me. It makes it almost hard to root for this team because we are in such a bad way right now. What would getting to the playoffs really accomplish? I know what it would cost us - A second round pick and probably a new coach. It tough to see any positive from winning but I always believe that if you can somehow make the playoffs then you have a chance. Who knows? Maybe we could hit a good streak. Possible but not very probable I know.

It's a simple concept, really. I am a fan of the New York Jets. That is defined as a person who cheers for the New York Jets to win when they play football.

A person who is not a fan of the New York Jets is defined as a person who does not cheer for the New York Jets to win when they play football.

Yes, I've heard the arguments about how it's in the "long range interest" for the Jets to lose on Sunday and seal Mangini's fate, but that way lies madness. If you want to take the "long range interest" theory to it's logical conclusion, you would cheer for the Jets to lose every game through 2018 so that our team will have 10 first picks in the draft playing for it, thereby greatly increasing our chances of winning a Super Bowl in 2019.

Thank you, no. I'll cheer for the Jets to win every game they play.

The fans will get ugly on Sunday if the Jets fall behind early.

I hate to hear a fan say they will boo their own team. If you recall, for the longest time, the Colts used to suck bad. They let us down all the time too but never once did I attend a game and hear the fans boo the team. Maybe its hoosier hospitality, I dont know but please dont boo the team. Fan support means a lot to a team.

I still have hope for the Jets, you just never know what can happen.

I will be cheering for my team to win on Sunday regardless what happens with the other games. If in fact they decide to not show up again and lose. I would hope a press conference follows the loss with Tanne and Woody anouncing the firing of Mangini.Schottenheimer and Sutton and then wish us a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and apologize for what transpired this season.

Good analogy about hanging onto a cliff hoping for help.

Unfortunately, from what we've seen the last month I find it hard to believe that this team will do anything but let go.

Whatever happenned to bringing in boxing people for motivational speechs, showing big boxing matches the night before the game? Why doesn't he do anything like that anymore?

New York/ New Jersey is rough sports town ! We boo for what we consider inferior performance and or players not hustling.
