This team lacks a leader.

I often wonder while watching a game who is the leader on this team. Some wear the "C" on their jerseys but yet show no leadership skills or motivation. I read it on this site I belive months back a thread where someone mentione Bryan Cox as being the last team leader to play for the JETS and I agree. He was a smash mouth abrasive type of player he showed emotion and enthusiasm. Something this team and head coach lack desperately.

The last team leader to play for the Jets was Chad Pennington.

No one has really established himself as taking that role this season. I have read a few times that Thomas Jones is the locker room leader, but I don't really see anyone taking a leadership role on the field.

I would agree with that statement. Ya's especially need a leader on defense. I watched almost the entire Jets/Bills game a couple weeks ago and your defense really stood out to me, and not for good reasons.

I saw your D-line and LB's basically just looking for a blocker to take on instead of looking to make a play on the RB. It seemed as though the Bills were way more physical than the Jets front 7. Dunno if it's coaching related or not, but it was one thing that really stood out to me that day.
