gg
why even play with a qb? just have Leon and TJ run the option that is also an option. when watching warm ups.. i i saw that leon could throw a nice spiral, if needed.. i think his height might be an issue though... kelticwizard
Maybe not four QB's, but there have been cases where having the "second string" QB come in for relief work has worked for whole seasons, or major parts of seasons. A) Way, way back in the sixties, Daryle Lamonica came in to relieve Jack Kemp and saved several games, so much so that there was a QB controversy the next year. Lamonica was traded to Oakland and had a great career, leading them to the Super Bowl one year. In the eighties, Steve Grogan came into relieve the starter, (Tony Eason?) and also won several games. The next year he was named the starter and led the team to the Super Bowl, (where they got run over by the Bears and The Fridge). There are a few others I remember. Relief QB's not just for a game or two, but most of the season.

I suggested this weeks ago when people were claiming running Leon only once is the correct way to use him, because he will be more explosive that way. I figure if all our QBs throw 11 passes each, we should get roughly 12 passing TDs a game.
war ensemble
Run a split backs formation with Favre at QB, Brad Smith at one RB spot, and Leon at the other. Put Keller and Cotch at WR on opposite sides, and have Thomas Jones play like a FB in a Strong/Weak I set. Direct snap it to Favre/Leon/Smith/Jones, have the two WR's run routes while the rest of the team does option/runs routes/runs ball/blocks/passes. I know, I know, I'm just incredible. Sign me up. I am absolutely certain that I can do a much better job. I'd call up and hire Joe Montana to be my OC, and I'd get Bryan Cox to be my DC.
