verizon vs. att

i work at a cell phone company...all day i hear people bitching to me about how crappy Blackberry's are, how the service doesn't work half the time, how the phones delete contacts and texts, and call-logs randomly, and that we tricked them into buying them by making the phones so cheap (well, DUH)

but i don't know what i'm talking about so who cares, right?

BO: 1

kloogy: -1

I have an Iphone. I have not had any of those issues, nor anyone I know with one. My issues are with AT&T because they have poor coverage in my area. You don't know what you're talking about . You work at a complaint center so of course all you will hear are complaints. I wouldn't expect someone like you to have use for a smart phone anyway.

In life,

Kloogy- wins

Blackflop - not so much

 i work with smart phones, i HAVE TO know how to use them.

and you are correct, i don't "Need" a smartphone. i have a computer for my internet (which i prefer to a small cellphone), a TV for my shows, a car w/ a 6 disc CD changer and nice subs for my music and a much cheaper phone for my calls, superior in receptioin. never had an issue with Nokia. no expensive data plan either. seeing how i'm about to graduate college who needs all that fancy crap? maybe a 13 year old girl.

i know you were just trying to insult me with that statement, but it failed.

Unlike you Mr. Kloogy, i've never been banned from Jetnation btw. another score for me.

Wait til you get a real job someday , you know, where you have to pass a drug test ? You may have to do something else besides answer a phone to make a living. You might need a device that allows you to multi task. Then again, I really don't see that kind of future for you. I always get a kick out of kids about to "graduate" who think they know what real life is about.

Hahahaha, this is an entertaining thread, I also work for a cell phone company Blackout; you can tell your customers that their blackberry's are deleting messages and call logs because of a new application running on versions 4.2 and later. It's called Low Memory Manager and if they go to blackberry's web site they can find a lot of ways to remedy that problem, or you could learn about it and actually show them how.

Personally I wouldn't go with att for an iphone if you love your Verizon service.....the iPhone isn't THAT spectacular.......I have heard the touch click screen on the Blackberry Storm takes some getting used to, but I would actually prefer one over an iphone....I respectfully disagree with Blackout when it comes to Blackberry's, I find most of my customer's love their Blackberry's they just don't understand how to use them.

the Curve isn't that bad, but the BB Pearl, the World(less) edition etc. are garbage. the Storm we don't have any test copies of yet. we do have the diamond (htc) and some other new fancy one. i prefer playing Monopoly on one of the old Nokia 2865's hahaha

i'm just the old school "music was meant to be played in a stereo; the internet is better on a computer" type thinker

i'm on verizon, and dig my xv6800. email, fast web, watch movies, listen to sirius (have to have an account), listen to music, takes a miniSD for add'l storage, etc. love the iphone too, but don't want to switch to at&t now, verizon seems to have better service when i'm in a group of iphone users.

That's what I have heard.

It's not going to happen until, at the very least, 2010. Apple extended their exclusivity deal with ATT for another year after AT&T offered to pay Apple an upfront subsidy on every iPhone sold, instead of a percentage cut from all contracts according to USA Today. If there was no extension, the exclusivity deal would've ended by now.

So JB, unless you're waiting another year, I suggest picking one or the other. You can always get a one-year contract for now and then switch later--if the deal actually ends. They might just keep extending it.

I have Verizon now...I love it. I've had it for years.

My contract is up and is due for an extension in March. Do I dump Verizon for ATT and get the iPhone? I want it sooooooo baaaaaaaaaad.

Help. Convince me.

the iphone is the t i t s!! Internet 24/7 wherever you are!! That makes two things in my pocket that I can whip out and play with whenever I get bored!
