Hofstra Jet
just saw it again.. foxsports.com reported it.. said "didnt enjoy playing for mangini, felt like he was being called into the" principles office", and was grilled in front of team for bad throws"

In the begining Mangini and Favre seemed to talk a lot on the sidelines. But by the end they never talked to each other. Mangini needs to go. I don't know why this is a surprise. He clearly lost the team. It was pretty obvious they haven't played hard in a month. I can't follow this team with Mangini anymore, I just can't. He squandered the best team we've had in 10 years. Completely squandered it. He's gotta go. Worst.Collapse.In.Team.History.

DMaynard
I hope this is the nail in the coffin for Mangini. That and losing 4 out of 5. Losing 4 out of 5 against a string of crappy teams and winning the one game by a miracle and missing the playoffs should be enough. Unfortunately, it will probably take stuff like this. I hope it is real and more comes out.

And that's why I do not blame Favre for this collapse at all. Not after Green Bay goes 6-10 from 13-3 without him. It just doesn't add up.
Gyno-Tony
Magini only been coaching for 3 years. he has 2 winning seasons in that time. he's still new to the game. he made a mistake with farve, but maybe he'll be ok. We just got no patience, but wtf...we cry cuz we lose, but we lose anyways. bill cowher can come here, dont mean we're going to the play-ofss or will be good. we gonna call for his head if he dotn do what sparano or harbaugh did? not everyone can win all the time. mangini has been to the playoffs though. It just doesn't add up. Kind of agree. He shares some of the blame though. But blaming him completely when the break downs are across the whole team is just silly. The last Favre INT went right through Stuckey's hands, is that really his fault? If he holds onto that, maybe we win the game. Earlier Barton had a pick 6 bounce off his hands in a spot that would've sent Chad into a tailspin (immediately following our TD and Chad's fumble) Little stuff like that makes a huge difference in close games. Miami has made plays like that all year whereas we haven't..

Iceman88
If anything this report gave me a lot more respect for Mangini. Favre was used to getting special treatment in Green Bay and his pampered ass didn't like it when a coach treated him like he was a JAG. He called him out in front of the team and when he ****ed up which was a lot. Mangini didn't give into Favre's superstar bull**** which is what I would want in a coach. The Favre trade was a huge bust people, he threw the most INTs in the league and played like utter garbage most of the season. That wasn't the coaching staffs fault. Favre's being scapegoated too here. He certainly didn't play well, but we pretty much sucked in all phases of the game for the last 5 weeks, and that's not all on Favre, it's on coaching.. He stink but we did nothing to adjust to his ****ty play. We should have been running on 3rd and short. They were blitzing up the middle and could beat on the edges with Leon. There are so many situations where we made it more difficult on him than it needed to be, I dont know where to begin. B. Schott, is terrible. He certainly didn't play well, but we pretty much sucked in all phases of the game for the last 5 weeks, and that's not all on Favre, it's on coaching.. That's for sure. The o-line sucked today. No holes for the running game. And they let Favre get killed all day. They did a nice job on Porter, but let everybody else in. And what can you say about this defense and Sutton/Mangini? Another 3 and 4 man rush job that gave Pennington all day to throw. The few times they blitzed, they had everyone up on the line jumping around. Real good disguises, guys. How about that atrocious pass block attempt by Leon, who is normally smarter? He was lined up outside of a DB who blitzed. Instead of either running his route, or adjusting his route to where the blitzing DB vacated (it was a 3rd and 2 situation), he runs after the DB for some ungodly reason. With the angle that he had, he had no way of blocking him. He could not even have tackled him if he tried.
Spudicus
Basically the article was saying that Farve was unhappy he was treated like the rest of the guys, chewed out for making mistakes, doing homework and held accountable for what he did....looks like the man had a bit of diva and Mangini didn't want to indulge him...maybe that lost the room a bit maybe not but both Brett and Eric are at fault here for not working it out and finding a compromise
MasonJet
Well I hope Mangini did criticize Favre in front of the whole team for his bad throws, because he made some really terrible throws that are a direct cause of this team not being in the playoffs. I'm pretty sure neither of them will be around for next season though and I'm happy about that.

TNJet
I believe Favre said that,he's a total dyck anyway. That said I dont want this cancer here anymore....Mangini is part of the problem sure, but we do make the playoffs without Brett,I honestly believe that. He ruined this whole year. Just think ideally for a second...Could Ratliff,Clemens,Pennington, even Ainge play worse than Favre has the last month here? I honestly doubt it. I would rather see any of the 3 qb's we already have take the field week one of next season. They arent over the hill superstars, they arent limelight legacies, they arent selfish, and they would be all about the team which Favre isnt...And we lacked mucho leadership this year and he never provided. Just look at Chad last night, walking the wr's bench slappin hands, being a great leader and teammate, what was Favre doing?? Standing there by hisself, not communicating with the team or most importantly the staff, but yet the camera stays on his stupid @ss. I'm so tired of being forcefed this guy I could puke. Boycott Favre and we would have finished with a playoff berth in 2008. Fire Mangini too,he makes all the wrong decisions and has no guts, and doesnt have any faith to let a young qb succeed.(see Clemens 07-08)
