KozJets
ok Favre is probably gone so there are 2 QB's to choose (if we dont pick one up via FA or draft) -Kellen Clemens -Brett Ratliff If I were in charge I would give KC another chance. People gave up on him after 07. But seriously noone can play well behind this hideous o-line of 07. 09 he would be more experienced and have a solid o-line. just give him one more chance. if he doesn't work out Ratliff will get his shot but KC shouldn't be given up on... hell, one of them has to be half-way decent
hoping4ASuperBowl
Forget Clemens. At least Ratliff left a good feeling in everyone's mouth, second stringers or not. Clemens doesn't play the same in the pocket as Ratliff, you can see it if you watch the preseason games again. I know some people wanna automatically call for Clemens over Ratliff but Ratliff had better mechanics, especially in the pocket.

I would be surprised if Favre didn't come back for another year but if not i call one of two things happening, either the cs has a good feeling about ratliff or they draft a new kid high. TNJet
Lets hope they dont draft a rookie qb this year....The draft is weaker at that position than I've ever seen. Honestly I see no qb in this yrs draft that would be better than Clemens,Ainge or Ratliff next season.

serphnx
KC is too damn small. I'm not opposed to Ainge entirely. But I think Ratliff has shown more and is a bit ahead of him in progress right now. KC is worthless, just cut bait already. What a terrible pick, what did this CS see in him? What a terrible pick, what did this CS see in him? I can see debating who you think the frontrunner should be, but what have either of these stiffs shown to make you give him the job at the expense of all others? If there was an open competition between Chad and Clemens then why not between Ratliff, Clemens, Ainge and whoever else? It makes no sense to dump any QB after carrying 4 on the roster all this time. Jets roster is expanding now, no reason not to keep them all. FWIW, Clemens was the #2 all season, so he's probably the frontrunner. Otherwise he wouldn't have been the one we watched warming up when Captain Chaos hurt his arm. With all the PSL ****, I think they'll get Favre to come back, but if he holds us up for more money I'd get him to camp and cut him. What better way to instill confidence in our young QBs? Big Boy
Why overpay for a QB like Cassel when he has no one to throw to? How about getting a true #1 reciever instead of having two #2's- Hand the reigns to either Clemens or Ratliff and give them a shot
