Could we see "The Return of Tuna" in New York?

According to a report by ESPN yesterday, Bill Parcells may leave the Dolphins through a loophole in his contract, essentially becoming a free agent. The Jets would be one of his possible destinations, the report said

If Management thinks this is a "win-now" team, i.e. win it all within the next two seasons, OR if Management is bitter from giving a mostly unqualified guy (Mangini) his shot, we will almost definitely see a former head coach with a pedigree:

Cowher

Marty

Billick

Fassel

And along with any of them almost certainly comes Brett Favre, if he's willing to return (and we all know his "MRI Will decide my future" was in no small part a shot at management saying "you got one more year, better find someone who can do it if you want me to stay").

If Management thinks this team is NOT going to win it in the next two years, , then it is very possible we could see one of the various Asst. Coaches or College Coaches hired, and along with that surely comes the non-retention of Brett Favre.

So which way do you think Management is leaning? I know what I think.....I think IF Mangini is indeed fired, we will see a very experienced formed Head Coach interviewed and hired within 1 week. If I had to guess......well, I won't, can't. I want Cowher, but I forsee a horrid future of Billick and yet more futility and failure. But who knows...

Needs to be a 3-4 mentality guy. We have just revamped this D to fit the 3-4 almost perfectly. Now get an aggressive 3-4 play caller and it will be fantastic. Revamping back to the 4-3 is going to take years. This takes Spagnuola off my list. Cowher is obviously the guy if we can get him.

3-4 or 4-3 means less than the attitude the coach brings-agressive, get the QB, force mistakes. Between Edwards' Cover WHo and Mangini dropping 8 into "coverage"(which never seemed to cover anyone) we haven't have anything resembling an attacking defense since the day Al Groh left for UVa.

Steve Spagnolo is a good fit for the GIANTS Im a little leary of him as a head coach.For starters the JETS dont have the players or the talent the GIANTS do.
