Fishooked
I really like Tannenbaum, but we cant afford any more potential gaffes from him, either. He's not totally without blame in all this. Im still not crazy about: -the Kendall fiasco -the Favre circus -giving Baker & Coles contracts because they whined -Gholston, altho time will tell on that one -unloading decent players just because they didn't fit Mangina's "scheme"

DMaynard
You can find a handful of mistakes by any GM. The bottom line is 7 pro bowlers. Lack of talent was not this team's problem.

Yes and no. I generally agree with that. But at the positions where we were lacking - not just this year, but last year as well - the starters were SO bad that it affected everyone. CB is a good example. Revis is outstanding, but other than him everyone is so awful. A mediocre CB would have been adequate & we don't have that. Same at safety (Rhodes' falloff notwithstanding). Same with OG and RT and CB2 last year. You don't need stellar talent at every position. You just need guys that are good enough. And there were still a couple of starters that were not good enough. Oh, and the HC and OC and DC were not good enough either. Quite a handicap.
