DaBrick Wall
Hell, either would be nice. It would be the first real coach we had since, well, Belichick for a day.
aec4
Would you rather him, or Cowher? tough call. We'll have 14 QBs on our roster by April if Gruden is the coach.

Bleedin Green
Why would Woody fire one head coach who engineered an epic late season collapse to then go and hire another head coach who did the same exact thing?

Vudu
Gruden is a good coach, I'd take him. He's got fire and spunk, unlike Mangini.

BwanaZulia
Gruden is very inconsistent, his teams are usually up one year down the next, just like the Jets. We need a coach to get us into and keep us in the playoff run year in and year out. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/coaches/GrudJo0.htm BZ

LWC611
Gruden uh no thanks...He fell into the only superbowl he won. That was Tony Dungy's team and everyone knew it. I am not impressed.

But speculation all over the TV and the internet is leaning towards Bill Cowher.

Klecko73isGod
Cowher, but I'll be happy with Chucky, although it may mean Favre sticks around.. Chucky sucks. First coach in NFL history to have consecutive losing seasons following a SB. Only won with a ready made team. The 2002 Bucs would have won with aec4 as head coach. A big ****ing pass on Chucky. Fair point but I doubt Dungy would have replaced Shawn King. I think that's why he got fired. Gruden left behind a SB team in Oakland that he put together. Jetscode1
If Gruden is fired...I think he takes over for Cowher in the booth...needs the downtime to get prepared for his next gig...not sure a Super Bowl ring at another head coaching spot is the right pre-requisite...still haven't seen a head coach win another ring at a second location. How about Rex Ryan?
Thor99
Why is no one talking about Dick Lebeau? I know he flamed out in Cincy, but does he get another chance? The only problem is that he's pretty old.
faba
Gruden is still living off his championship-since then what was he able to do in Tampa Bay beside not deciding on a QB.
Jetscode1
What about Billick? I'd pass on Billick...for all his suppossed offensive genius at Minnesota he never translated that in Baltimore...how many poor offensive teams did he have there...never did develop a good QB...his success seems to have come from drafting Ray Lewis and watching him lead their defense... CTM
Not to mention he had a bigger choke job than Mangini did this year... I think I agree with the Kleck here. No he didn't. Considering the schedule and injury situation, the Jets choke job tops all. TB lost their last 4, but to 3 playoff teams, we lost 4 of 5, to 1 playoff team. Seriously, we just fired a guy for losing 4 of his last five to go from 8-3 to 9-7 and out of the playoffs, does anybody really want to replace him with a guy who lost his last four to go from 9-3 to 9-7 and out of the playoffs? TB lost their last 4, but to 3 playoff teams, we lost 4 of 5, to 1 playoff team. They lost to a horrible team at home, with a chance at the playoffs on the line. That team was absolutely uninspired yesterday. It's bad enough I have to look at all of his stupid faces. Pass.
RSJ
Why is no one talking about Dick Lebeau? I know he flamed out in Cincy, but does he get another chance? The only problem is that he's pretty old. Lebeau would not be a bad choice. He is 71 years old though. Gruden would be fine so long as he has no say over any personel decisions.
