Borgoguy
Why is Brett Fraud the deciding factor in people's minds? F**k him. He choked, pure and simple. 22 picks, with nine in the last five games, is a total disgrace on any level. Pick the best coach and forget what that prima donna wants. His game decision making skills are atrocious at this point. Why bring him back? For what, another year at best? Plus he will play as he did this year, badly. ECURB
heh i want favre gone i am just guessing as woody is hell bent on keeping favreeeeee I doubt it... he seems to be easily talked into things... whichever coach sells his "plan" the best will get the job... regardless of what Favre thinks... and all that coach has to do in order to get Favre to retire... say that he wont name a starter until he see's everyone play in pre-season... Favre's ego cant handle that.

Fishooked
No way. This is about proven stability at the HC position. The Favre issue is secondary. No way does a guy who may only play for one more year have that much a say in a HC for 3-5 years. Nope.

JetsTitans63
He brought Rutgers back from 1 of the worst teams in college history, filled the stands and is well liked in N.J. He seems to have what it takes to be a succesful NFL coach if not for the JETS possibly somebody else.
CrazyCarl40
Yes let's bring another not tested, not NFL proven coach in. That's why they got of Mangini. To hire another one.
gang_green03
No disrespect intended but is that a joke? After firing Mangini it would make almost no sense to hire a college coach. Besides the fact that most recent examples have had serious trouble adjusting to the pros, we can't hire another inexperienced NFL coach and suffer through more growing pains. If so, we might as well have just tried to ride it out with Mangini and see if we could grow with him.

aec4
And Mangini had his team entirely unprepared for the end of the season. What about Cleveland. I agree, but that's not a good reason to hire Schiano. Rutgers was posed to be a 9-3, 10-2 team this year, and they went 8-5. Yay.... They went to a nothing bowl, and now you want to hire him for HC.. pass.
