Maxman
Anyone see Trusnik out there yesterday? I was VERY impressed. He looked really good in coverage. What happened to Harris? I didn't seem him get hurt. WFAN said broken Fibula? How did I miss that?

I didn't seem him get hurt. WFAN said broken Fibula? How did I miss that? Trusnik did look good and showed some fire doing it. David Harris on the other hand has been non-existent and now another injury. Bring Vilma back now that Mangini is gone.
Irish Jet
I honestly didn't even notice he got hurt (Lost interest in the game and changed it over to South Park during the breaks). If he broke his fibula then I hope he recovers soon.
drago
I saw trusnik too. The dude was from Ohio Northern (knocked out the team i coach in the NCAA's this year, ****ers). How the crap does a dude from a DIII school get in the NFL? I loved his hustle and his ability to tackle. I hope he is a Wayne Cherbet type that will bring intensity to every game/practice. BroadwayJ667
after what i heard from players and Mort. the defense struggled because no one could understand the defense. too confusing. with the personell the jetshave they can be an awesome attacking defense. Harris was always good running towards the QB and the OL. Gholston is a pure pass rusher and will thrive with the game simplified for him. Bryan thomas, again pass rusher. Trusnick - intense, better at coverage than the rest. and Calvin pace, best overall that the jets have.

I didn't seem him get hurt. WFAN said broken Fibula? How did I miss that? Looked good in coverage?!! He made two good tackles on receivers who caught the ball in front of him, one special teams play, and recovered a fumble caused by someone else. Meanwhile the Fins TE was catching passes all over the field -- hmm seems like maybe Trusnik wasnt so good in coverage after all. The guy had a good game, but primarily what he did was get his name mentioned on about 4 consecutive plays. Where was he after that series? The plays that he gave up, how many yards where they? Every time I watched him, he impressed me. I am not saying he is some great star. But he was an after thought who stepped in because of an injury and played well. I liked what I saw.
jetophile
Wait, what, Harris is hurt again? I was at the game (why, God, why), but I must have been pissing on my ticket at half time and missed it. I didn't hear any thing about it this afternoon on the radio. Can anyone substantiate? Every time I watched him, he impressed me. I am not saying he is some great star. But he was an after thought who stepped in because of an injury and played well. I liked what I saw. I watched on TV. Whoever the announcer was practically reached orgasm when Trusnik made a couple of tackles in the third quarter after he recovered the fumble. I said the guy had a good game (for a back up), but those who are using his good "series" to attack David Harris dont know ****e from shinola. Harris must have gotten hurt in the third. He came back in after the Trusnik series when the game was still in doubt, but was again replaced by Trusnik on the Fins last drive. Harris played hurt the second half of the season and it appears in the second half of yesterday's game in an effort to help the Jets win. I respect that a lot more than I admire a back up who steps in and makes a few plays. Cool for the back up. I dont know how many plays he gave up or for how many yards, but how many plays did he make in the passing game?

I don't have all Trusnick's stats it was more of a general observation that I was impressed with his coverage skills. The plays I remember them completing passes on him it was for 5 yards. I remember him having a really nice pass defended as well. Watching on tv though is an issue because you see what they show you. Which is why the thought of being "PSL'ed Out" scares me. jetophile
Does David Harris have a BROKEN LEG or what?!
Gas2No99
Seriously? Does he actually have a broken bone? Is it a clean break? Why is no one reporting this or curious to the LONG TERM status of what WAS one of our Young Rising Players? He definitely had a sophomore slump year; albeit injuries. I still love HArris, but a groin surgery AND broken bone in ONE season? Not a good indicator. I PRAY HE'S NOT MARVIN JONES THE SEQUEL. I loved Shade Tree, but he was NEVER the same after that surgery.
CPH
If it is a broken Fibula he'll be on crutches for about 6 weeks and fully recovered in 8-10 weeks. Since this is the offseason I think we're ok! Edited to add: And if it is a clean break he won't even need a cast...

bitonti
Barton is a FA and getting older we could see ILB tandem of Trusnik and Harris I'd have no problem with that, the kid can play.
