aec4
Cowher has never been a GM. Everyone is afraid of another first time HC. Do you want another first time GM? That's why you let Tannenbaum do the GM, Cowher coach, and give Cowher final say on personnel.
AFJF
Both....the idiot writers say it can't happen but they're wrong. No GM makes all the right moves....our GM has had one HORRIBLE pick (Gholston) and plenty of good/great picks.
DMaynard
That's why you let Tannenbaum do the GM, Cowher coach, and give Cowher final say on personnel. That would be OK, except I think Cowher wants the money that only a GM/HC would get. But who knows. Woody has plenty of dough.

Did he do that in 2007? Just asking. Yeah. Who the hell wants Cowher and his talent evaluators from the best talent evaluation program in the NFL. Screw those guys. We have the magic accountant. Hope you 30% morons enjoy loser martyball. It tells me several things: 1. You don't understand the definition of EVERYONE 2. Cowher wants the kind of money that only a HC/GM position brings (even though he has never been a GM) 3. 7 Pro Bowlers is pretty good for an accountant 4. What is a 30% moron? DMaynard
1 Everyone wants cowher I don't 2 He wants to BRING IN HIS OWN PERSONAL PEOPLE. AKA. People he worked with in Pitt. AKA GREAT player evaluators. Who says they will leave an organization like Pitt to come here? From what I hear from people in Pittsburgh, there were not a lot of tears for Cowher leaving. 3 Pro bowls mean nothing. When fans do the picking, yes, they mean nothing. When players and coaches make the selections, it means something. 4 The 30% that would choose the accountant over cowher. edit 21% now. .

4HCrew
This poll is ridiculous.... take a guy everyone is in love with vs a guy who is part of a team that just collapsed. Granted you are the only NFL genius on this site as you continue to tell us BUT you are also the same one that was in love with most of the offseason moves as was EVERY other Jets fan. It is the NFL money talks, not some fantasy that players will play for the love of the game. Also whenever Parcells was going to take a head coaching job like in Atlanta or Tampa why was Mike T always the first on the list to go with him? oh that's right he sucks

He might be good at handling the cap but thats all he's good at and thats all parcells wanted him for, NOT player evaluation.
4HCrew
So just to clarify Mike you hated all of the offseason moves right? or what the Jets just overpaid for everyone? And now Mike T is the end all be all at personnel? So Mangini and Terry Bradway did not contribute to any of this?
