Sperm Edwards
Awesome. Bills have to keep Jauron, and it's one less team to scoop up a HC we might want here. Though I can't imagine too many coaches falling over themselves to move their families to Buffalo.

Not surprized since Ralph is basically cheap but after the Jets fire Mangini this guy keeps HIS job ??? He's done nothing in his 3 year reign to earn a 4th year. No playoffs, not even an above .500 record in any year. WTF ??
Thai Jet
Things are going to get ugly in Buffalo. The Bills fans are beyond fed up with Jauron. Ralph was asked if he were worried about season tickets sales in light of this. His response was that season ticket sales in all the NFL will be down because of the economy anyway. Thai Jet
His coaching, and I use that word loosely, last Sunday should have been enough to get him fired. If I was a Bills fan I would be pissed right now. I myself would have fired him at half time in that last game. It reminded me of Hermie. And yes, Bills fans here are disgusted except for the GF (a VERY rabid Bills fan ) who wants to see some continuity with the Bills coaching. He's done nothing in his 3 year reign to earn a 4th year. No playoffs, not even an above .500 record in any year. WTF ?? There are now three high profile jobs open right now with the Jets, Browns and Broncos. The Jets have a pretty strong roster and are willing to spend and wheel and deal in the draft. The Browns and Broncos both have young, promising QBs in place. The Detroit job is also attractive because if you can go 8-8, you'll earn a five year extension and be hailed as a genius. Who in their right mind would want to go to Buffalo instead of those four jobs? Not to mention that there is also the question as to how long the team will even remain in Buffalo. Wilson would have a very difficult time finding a decent replacement under normal circumstances. Considering the competition for a quality coach, it would be damn near impossible. Excellent points Kleck but the way I see it .... If there are people who would actually want the job as HC in that asylum in Oakland working for that nut case Al Davis then Ralph should have had no problem getting a HC. Detroit is actually going to be a good spot... new GM... CJ... some young guys... good draft picks that wont be Fed up like in the past... for a young HC it could be a great place to go... or for an older coach looking for a 2nd chance... Bergen Jet
The Bills didn't opt to retain Jauron... they opted to not be able to afford to eat his contract while paying somebody to replace him. Jauron was never going to be fired because the franchise isn't in a financial position to do so at this point in time. They can spin it any fricken way they want it is all about the money. Klecko73isGod
Spot on Thai. Buffalo is a much better destination than Oakland, Detroit or even Cleveland. Are you stoned? I give you Oakland but think about it in these terms, the last time the other three hired coaches the Browns were able to get Crennel who was a highly touted DC of a three-time SuperBowl champion, the Lions got Marinelli, who was a hot prospect and considered one of, if not the best candidate that season. The Bills got Dick Jauron, who had already been fired for incompetence as an NFL head coach.
