piney
So, I have a question and figured maybe someone here would know what is going on. I am having trouble getting my laptop computer to start up. Now, the last time I used my laptop was Sunday, I have not been able to start it again until tonight, right before I wrote this post. It seems as though if I have the computer off and unplugged for more than a few hours, when I plug it back in the battery indicator light is red. It takes a long time for it to turn blue, then it seems a day or so after it turns blue it turns on. I am trying to troubleshoot the issue, and I hope it is a power supply issue and nothing more, either the battery or the power adapter. How do I figure that out? I have tried to turn it on without the battery and only the power cord hooked up, no go. I have turned it on with the power adapter out, and it works intermittently. I also have limited success when I have the battery in and the power cord in at the same time. I am not sure what I should do next....any advice? Thanks in advance.... CTM
Had similiar problems, it can be anything... I'd buy a new brick and if it fixes it, you know what your problem is. If it doesn't return it..

CTM
thanks....they don't have battery testers or anything like that for the adapter either do they? Maybe at Radio Shack or something, but honestly I'd start with the easiest thing to fix and work my way from there..

Bob
Sounds like the AC adapter. If the adapter was ok, it should work with the battery out.
