Shanny to Dallas ??????

it does make a lot of sense...sadly since I want Mike Shanahan as our HC

I don't think Shannahan is right for this team, if he comes here I'd suspect we'll see Favre chucking the ball all over the place next season and a defense similiar to what we saw this past year..

Guys, Eric Kuselias hosts a friggin fantasy football show. This guy is not an authority on anything. He gets all of his info from office gossip.

Please stop reporting what every dumbass on television says.

Anyone with a microphone in front of them is an expert. Haven't you learned that? ;)

and the greater reach of that microphone makes one a top-line expert.

So being Mike Greenberg's backup makes you an expert now? Got it.

Of course. And since he's on the world leader network he is a super expert.

:)

thats why I dont get too wrapped up in this crap or baseball winter meeting crap.

Everyone is just trying to make a name for themselves and get attention. And if their thought or idea actually comes through they can crow about it for months (see: colin cowherd)

Doesnt matter how many silly things they throw out there, as long as one pays off they can crow they were right.

Cowherd's a douche. Guy was right once in five years and now he reminds everyone of it every five minutes.

I love how these jagoffs crow about the one in 20,000 times they are right but never issue a mea culpa for all of the times they are wrong.

yea but wouldn't it be fun watching him turn Leon Washington and Dustin Keller into perennial Pro Bowlers and developing Brett Ratliff once he benches Favre?

I think it goes without saying that this is all speculation. Dallas doesn't even have a head coaching opening at this point.

But what else should we do during the offseason? All this speculation is what gets me to August.

It could be yes, and normally I favor Shanahan style football over Cowher, it just feels like we a very close to being avery good team playing Cowher ball. Moving in the Shanahan direction feels like a rebuild..

Exactly why I cant listen to him. I have xm and espn radio is a preset. I always click it when driving around and I listen for about a minute before getting pissed off at him. Then every once in a while I will give him a chance and end up regretting wasting 10 minutes of my life listening to him instead of old '80s tunes.

I hate self promoting blowhards. And Cowherd is at the top of the list.

QFI

IN any event, all this guy is doing is connecting the dots and forming a logical conclusion. Shanahan to Dallas makes a ton of sense..

Yep...without a doubt another 3 year project under Shanny.

Give me physical, smashmouth football. That's what we are built for at this point.

I hate Stephen A. Smith as much as the next guy, but am I the only one who would pay to see him co-host PTI with Shannon Sharpe or Emmitt Smith.

Not me. I cannot stand Stephen A. and his voice and his tough man act. he just seems to be a black Jim Rome. More talented, but still Jim Rome. Maybe Rome should be called a white Stephen A. Smith.

except Cowher (my first choice too) doesn't want the job and Mike Shanahan fell out of the sky potentially right in our laps...clearly he's not a bad option with the right DC and all.....616 % 2 SB trophies Chan...not too shabby-oh yea and only ONE losing season a 7-9er since 2000 (post-Elway) and 5 out of 8 wins against the scumbag in New England to boot

Nah, you can't compare the two. Smith at least has a working knowledge of the sports he covers plus he's got nowhere near the gay quotient Rome has.

Remember, Rome is the guy who constantly refers to Manny Ramirez as "ManRam" and giggles every time he says it.

They really should change the name of his show to "Rome is Flaming." It would be much more appropriate.

You speak the truth fine sir. Honestly, I've just been emotionally invested in Bill Cowher coming here since after the SF game when it looked likely that we were going to miss the playoffs. Getting him was making this collapse seem ok in the long run...

Just bummed right now..

I woke up to the Cowher doesn't want us news. I went to bed thinking he was ours. Then I started looking at plan B options and I KNOW I do NOT want it to be another underling and like you, KNOW it MUST be somebody who has won something-Shanahan has won twice as many SB's as our 1st choice CTM

Go over and read the thread started by 124-there's a lot of good stuff going on-maybe I can sell you on my idea there.

Eric Kuselias from ESPN said dont be surprised if Shanny goes to Dallas..

Shanny is great friends with Jones, and he also replaced Wade in Denver..

Shanny also loved Romo and wanted him when he first came out..

What is very telling is that no Big Name coach wants to deal with the Jets...or is it Woody?

Kinda makes me wonder why.

Well hearing people report that the "dysfunctional history" of the Jets is one of the reasons that Cowher stayed away certainly is a bitter pill to swallow as a fan. :bag:
