Twice in 3 years no less. Oy!

He's going to gnaw his own arm off under the pile during the Ravens game to prepare for teh 2010 award.

"He's a warrior, playing through that dismemberment"

I actually cant bring myself to dislike the guy. Good for him.

LOL!!!

When it gets to the point that an award is automatically turned into a criticism, you know that people don't want to face reality.

Pennington is a lot better than he was given credit for.

He sucked moose balls last year and he was healthy. I have never heard of a player in any sport getting two comeback awards before. Maybe in two more years he can go for the hat trick.

If Pennington beats the Ravens, I will never say another bad thing about him again.

My guess is, it will be same old Pennington this weekend. Pennington has saved his worst performances for the best defenses, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and the Patriots (back when their D was solid).

Wait a second. I understand why Chad won this after '06, he was COMING BACK from major shoulder surgery.

He didn't come back from an injury this year. He just sucked last year. How does he even qualify for the award?

Hurt feelings and mental anguish? lol

Thats a very good question.

Sucking is a hard thing to overcome. Hey, they had to give the award to somebody, Pennington got it by default.

Who says the award is for people who were injured last year?

Was Kerry Collins injured last year?

Not unless he got a nasty papercut from carrying a clipboard.

The point people were making is that it was understandable giving the award in Pennington in '06 after returning from a major injury. To give him the award this year, as an acknowledgment of his "comeback" from a 1-7 season as a starter, is laughable.

When you are the comeback player of the year twice, I'm not sure that it is an honor anymore. It points more to inconsistency than anything else.

Yup.

The Comeback Player of the Year should've been given to Jake Delhomme, IMO. But congrats to Chad.

I'm a Pennington fan and I thought the first one, coming back from injury, was well deserved. I agree this one seems silly. I mean, what's he coming back from, besides bad coaching and a lousy o-line?

I agree. I believe that either he should have gotten MVP or atleast be respected for the nomination for the award. The person who should have gotten Comeback Player OTY should have been another Dolphin.....Joey Porter.

I cant front. The Dolphins were pretty impressive this year.
