aec4
No, it's quite easy to coach when in every game, your 3rd string would start for the opponent.
jetsman
he never should have been fired in the first place IMO
Boynton Beach Jets
Nobody is mentioning this guy I wouldn't mind having ol Pete back Not only is remembered for the Jets choke of 1994, but he did a horrible job with a Super Bowl team Bill Parcells left him in New England. His rah rah style is perfect for the college game.
JonEJet
He has alot more clout these days I'd take him over the older guys
RutgersJetFan
If you think Mangini was bad at managing games in the NFL, Carroll pretty much set the standard for ineptitude.
bobbyjet69
Nobody is mentioning this guy I wouldn't mind having ol Pete back are you kidding me? 124
How'd he fair in the NFL again? 33-31, 1-2 Postseason. That and he has no interest in returning to the NFL.

Jet Moses
I don't want to be a wet blanket, but the Jets are crap. It doesn't matter who the coach is, who the GM is, who the QB is et al, we suck and always will.

I haven't heard anything about Spags wanting FULL control? Usually that's a veteran HC looking for that! Besides Favre, Tanny is not a bad GM. Mangini wanted players to run his 3-4 and Tanny went out and got em!
uart
How'd he fair in the NFL again? 33-31, 1-2 Postseason. That and he has no interest in returning to the NFL. And why should he? It's not like he's poor. Well paid, lives in SoCal, is essentially a GOD at USC...
lancemehl
Nobody is mentioning this guy I wouldn't mind having ol Pete back I'm sure he love to leave his throne in Cali to come back to a cold place he was a failure. But, sure. at least DC. Irish Jet
Why the **** would he leave USC? He's a GREAT college coach but not so much in the NFL. He has no reason to leave his current job.
faba
He is right where he belongs-the college game and thriving. He is not going anywhere.

kelticwizard
How'd he fair in the NFL again? 33-31, 1-2 Postseason. That and he has no interest in returning to the NFL. That sounds like a mediocre record, not a terrible one. And he was a lot younger then, he's clearly grown as a coach now. As to whether or not he'd leave USC, that's up to him. jason423
I mentioned him as a possible guy, but I think he is too far removed from the NFL and you always run the chance that those types of guys will just bail for the NCAA as soon as it gets tough in the NFL. PaJetFan
WILL NEVER LEAVE USC!!! He knows he's creating a one-of-a-kind modern day dynasty. He is moving toward all-time legend (Paul Bear Bryant) status.
