124
I would kill myself. Seriously. Sam F'ing Bradford? Hey jetkid, have you ever heard of Josh Huepel? Jason White? Thats Sam Bradford. He's a great College and OU Quarterback but in the NFL I want zero part of him. Talk about setting a franchise back five to seven years. He'd make Alex Smith look like Steve Young. uart
Unless Colt McCoy changed his mind, I honestly don't want any QB this year. Favre/Clemens/Ratliff/Ainge will be just fine for one season. Lets get a WR or DB, or some D-Line.... etc. etc. etc.

Bugg
I'm not a mock draft guy. But until the Favre situation is resolved, a new head coach installed, the free agent process and various roster cuts done, discussing who we might pick in the draft is like having your infant apply to a specific college 15 years beofre he expects to set foot on campus. An utter and total waste of time. I urge you draftniks-trell us who you like. Tell us who impresses you. Tell us who's rising and dropping and why.Tell us who might be a good fit for the Jets. But the second you tell us where and when you have player X going to us or player Y going to some other team in your mock, you officially move into nobody gives a sheet territory. There is nothing more boring and pointless than your mock draft. Except the next guy's.

He has size but his play is eratic. Bradford could potentially go #1 but I don't see how you can say its obvious or not even close. You can make a very credible arguement for Stafford considering he's got better tools, plays in a pro-style offense as opposed to Bradford, has less talent around him to work with, etc. I'd be happy with either one but to say Stafford doesn't compare to Bradford is pretty ridiculous. RutgersJetFan
Thats what I say. Who the F is Stafford? He has size but his play is eratic. Inconsistent prospect with every physical attribute you can look for in a QB prospect. Natural talent that just borders on the absurd. That being said, he's been extremely erratic over his tenure at Georgia. One drive he looks like John Elway, the next he'll look like Brett Favre circa 2008. Whoever drafts him is best off sitting him for at least for a year and if they're smart it'll be two. Physical ability will ensure a first round grade but everything else will keep him from being an elite prospect. Bradford declaring would ensure he has absolutely no chance of being taken by Detroit simply due to positional value. It's worth noting that aside from AJ Green, Georgia's receivers have absolutely sucked balls this year. And when Stafford is playing at his best, there simply isn't a better pocket passing prospect in college. Unfortunately, he's inconsistent enough in that regard to knock him down 10-20 slots in the 1st. Bradford is without question the best QB in this draft by every standard and if he declares will go #1 overall. If it's not to Detroit, it'll be to someone trading up for him to that slot. QB prospects of his caliber don't go less than 1.

faba
bradford and stafford should be the two top QB's coming out and drafted. The Jets will not be drafting that high for either one of them-The last thing I want this franchise to do is move up in the draft again.

Ghost
I don't want a ROOKIE QB! I'm sorry but Matt Ryan doesn't come too much often and if wasn't for the Ravens D, Joe Flacco wouldn't be in this situation. IMO I think we need to go after a veteren once again, I think it'll be idiotic to get a QB who has no experince at all.
RSJ
I don't want any of these rookie QB's. If Favre retires I think we should bring in a vet like Derek Anderson to compete with Clemens, Ratliff and Ainger. Loser of the battle gets cut. Anderson got a raw deal imo and his WR's let him down big time.

Agreed somewhat, though Mason and Clayton have been nothing short of fantastic at several points throughout the season. Their offensive line doesn't get nearly enough credit, particularly on the interior. Jason Brown is pretty awesome and Grubbs is going to be sick. Or wait out until he's cut in May? I doubt we'll even have a resolution to the Favre situation by then.
