124
ProFootballTalk.com CARDS GET ANOTHER EXTENSION Posted by Mike Florio on January 1, 2009, 5:05 p.m. With the deadline for selling out their home stadium already moved from 72 hours to 48 hours and with a lot of tickets still left when the 48-hour deadline came, the Arizona Cardinals have received an unusual second extension. The Cardinals now have until 24 hours prior to the Saturday kickoff of their game against the Falcons to move enough tickets to allow the wild-card contest to be televised in the Phoenix area. As of 4:30 p.m. EST on Thursday, 3,700 tickets still remained.

shawn306
Maybe, just maybe people are starting to tell the owners that the prices are too high. Especially in this economy. I don't know where the Vikings are at right now but I think Monday or Tuesday they still had 20,000 tickets available.
4HCrew
I am with you on that Shawn, I know the Jets playoff tickets were expensive as hell and had to be bought 2 games at a time, could just imagine in a newer stadium.
billybroome
could all of the bowl games in the area screw things up? didn't they sell out other games this year? It has nothing to do with NCAA games. It's about the Arizona economy. Times are suddenly real tough. I have many friends who live in Phoenix who have been laid off or had their hours drastically cut back. The Cardinals fans would love to be at the game, but when it comes down to that or providing for your family, football is the 1st thing to go. This will be my 4th and I really don't care if your impressed or not, the purpose of my post was to discredit a previous post comparing us to a team that can't sell out a playoff game in a stadium with 15,000 less seats than ours. Oops, sorry. your intent is always the same...to flame and incite Jet fans on their own board with your spinning bs, if you have been to 3 playoff games at Dolfag stadium, you must be a lot older then you admit to The Cards have NEVER had a home playoff game since leaving Chicago. Its not like they had a winning team and bailed out on them when they starting losing, like you guys. Face it, you are the worse in the WORLD, and you can spin the whole "WHERE ARE YOU GUYS PLAYING THIS WEEK" thing, but that doesn't change the fact that you fans suck. Half the people who bought your playoff game tix probably didn't go to one regulaer season game this year..

Actually, I believe the Jets sold out their playoff tickets* the day they whupped the Titans. *Since the Jets failed to reach the playoffs, all monies collected will be placed in an escrow account and credited toward your 2009 season tickets. There is $1500 cancellation fee for not renewing your season ticket for 2009. Aren't you suckers happy we got Brett Favre to entertain you in 2008? No? Why the hell not you ungrateful bastards? Well, we fired Mangini and will most likely replace him with a big-name for 2009, our last year in Giants Stadium before we move into our brand spanking new $1.6 billion home. Have you purchased your PSL yet? PSLs can be had for as little as $5,000 per seat. Think about it, as little as $5,000 gets you the opportunity to spend even more money for season tickets!!! Sincerely, the New York Jets (a team that cares about its fans.)
shawn306
Just did a search for Panthers tickets and although they are down to under 500 tickets available the prices are insane. Who the heck is going to drop anywhere from 200-1500 for a ticket to a divisional playoff game ? I'm sure some corporation will pick them up but the average joe is totally priced out. Buffalo at Miami 98', we won on a Trace Armstrong sack of Flutie on 4th down, 2000 Colts at Miami, overtime win, Lamar Smith had over 200 yards rushing and the last playoff game 2001 against the Ravens. It's now redemption time. I've been posting here since 2006 and Miami has had losing seasons 2 of those years, so you can talk about bandwagon fans just now showing up, but make sure to clarify your statement so it doesn't include me.
