The JN Death Pool 2008 - Lightning Strikes Twice!

Recommended Posts

The results are in, and it's a two way tie.

Bob and Jerry K - 16 points

Thai Jet - 8 points.

Everybody else? 0.

Not a very good year for predictions, it would appear. Jerry K finishes on top for the second year in a row. People, if your name appears on his list, you'd better make sure your insurance is fully paid up. Congrats to his co-winner, Bob. An 84 year old Charlton Heston turning out to be the winning croaker for the guys.

A late late death (December 16) by 92 year old Van Johnson allows Thai Jet to take third place.

Everybody else? Better luck next year - some close calls though - Jetman predicting Ted Kennedy's health problems, a couple with Kim Jong Il, and the LA driver who knocked down and killed the wrong Culkin sibling. Amy Winehouse? I told you people she had the staying power of a cockroach.

Anybody up for the 2009 edition?

Thanks for the kudos on last year. I'll be happy to take part in another.

Seasons don't fear the reaper; we should be like they are. ...with the addition perhaps of some cowbell.

One question: If it is announced this year that **A_person_yet_to_be_named** has been dead for years in a cover-up, having been pictured by a surrogate since then, would credit be given for the prediction of this year's announcement, or do I need my contacts in the netherworld to specify the year of his death despite a 2009 announcement?

can i at least get some partial credit

what about some points for Hillary?

I'd give you some, since Edmund Hilary did die last year or prior.

...But I'd have to take them back because Hillary Clinton claimed once to be named after him, but it was found that when she was born, he hadn't climed Everest yet or become famous.

Ah, the old "Pulling a Brezhnev" trick.

They have to die in 2009 to be eligible. Bloody North Koreans trying to mess up the JN Death Pool.

And if you don't mind, would you please add Jetsrule to your list for 2009? Thanks!
