PaJetFan
This team just has too much talent. Behind any new / motivated coach, it would be hard to lose! I am also assuming that we'll be playing without Favre. If we don't have Favre, we'll be fine. Any decent game managing veteran OR (Clemens/ Ratliff) could conservatively lead us to the playoffs simply by minimizing turnovers. This year just wasn't worth the gamble with all this talent. I believe a new coach will be hired, Favre will retire/be released and we'll play passionate football with a pro-bowl loaded team and game managing QB. !!!! Jets '09!!! Jets '09!!! during the season I hated the 09 schedule, but i looked at it again yesterday, and it really isnt that bad. Our defense is a playoff defense when theres not a coach holding them back. spags will make our defense a top one. our offense really wasnt that bad, but playcalling made it worse by abandoning the run to much. I want favre gone and if he leaves and we have ratliff or clemens we will be a running team and that is a plus, because as you said as long as clemens or ratliff manages the game ala cassell we can succedd. our defense and run game and a conservative QB really can send us places with a good coach! kind of like joe flaccos ravens with a good coach and great defense and a conservative QB. home pats- you all know how we fare with them. could go either way. phins- they will not be as good. bills- dick jauron is killing them falcons- good team, but only had 4 wins on the road. panthers- scary team. bengals- 0-7 in last 7 meetings at meadowlands titans- dont see them being as good in 09 jags- could be healthier which makes them great, hopefully we play them in the cold. away pats- seem to play better in there house phins- can handle them bills- jauron sucks bucs- choked this year. tough game though saints- scared of brees but our defensive potential can help us big time. colts- dungy suppost to be retired, colts can be very good, or really bad. texans- my scariest road game. this team will be good in 09 raiders- al davis. janikowski wont beat us with a miracle kick again. the road schedule is tough, but hopefully we shock one of those teams. first glance its scary, but 2 of our top 5 toughest games are at home with the panthers and falcons. we can surprise next season. Didn't you have a decent game managing QB and pushed him out the door? The Jets won 9 games with Brett and an easy schedule. Raiders and Bengals are your games you can write down as wins. Well, maybe not the Raiders. Now, you do not know who your QB is. Several players, both named and anonymous have thrown one possibility under the bus and you are going to win more games? Good Luck! stoicsentry
We need to keep picking QBs until we strike gold. I'm so sick of this team not having a QB. I can't remember us ever having a QB I trusted except maybe 1st year Chad started or maybe Vinny, IDK...

How am I negative? The Jets did push Chad out the door. He is the epitome of a decent game a managing QB. The AFC East as a whole trades in the two West Divisions (45-83 in 2008) for the two South Divisions (78-50 in 2008). Saying you are going to have more wins without a proven QB is foolish. I am just keeping it real, but hey every team needs cheerleaders.
