OK, so this poll is a little different. Basically, I made it so that you can select multiple options, but please select only one potential head coach from the list and only one potential QB from the list.

Potential Head Coaches: (these are all names that have been mentioned for interviews with the Jets)

Steve Spagnuolo

Brian Schottenheimer

Ron Rivera

Rex Ryan

Bill Callahan

Mel Tucker

Other

not listed: Mike Shannahan (not interested), Marty Schottenheimer (all speculation so far, nothing official), Bill Cowher (talks over).

Potential QB's:

Brett Favre

Kellen Clemens

Brett Ratliff

Draft/Sign a QB

not listed: Eric Ainge (max number of poll options is 10, and lets face it...it's not gonna happen.)

Vote away!!!!

I'd love for Clemens or Ratliff to prove me wrong, but I have no faith in any of the QB's on this roster. There doesn't appear to be a suitable warm body on the FA market, either. Phuck. Phuck Phavre, too.

I went with Spags for HC, though.

Mort just said that the Jets are real high on Baby Schott

Might not be a bad idea.....he and Favre had a good relationship

He did bring up something that I did not know either. He said that Schotty was a finalist for the Ravens job last year and was just beaten out by Harbaugh.

Hearing the Ozzie Newsome was that high on him makes me a little more comfortable with him.

haha, well, if you meant those were the worst possible options, i think you're wrong.

callahan was a great addition to our coaching staff this year.

He was a full fledged fail as Oaklands head coach. Actually took Grudens team to the superbowl, then lost and had a lockeroom uprising against him. Then, he was fired from Nebraska for a marginally mediocre record. Yes, I do believe he is your worst coachin option. Clemens may be good, may be bad, we just don't know yet.

I think Brians daddy is a good match for you guys, the team needs some help getting back to the basics of football.

so what do you like about rivera?

Rivera was a high coaching candidate after the bears went to the superbowl a few years back...not only that, since he left the Bears, does anyone fear the bears defense?

Toook over SD mid season, they made a run to the playoffs

Hell of a ballplayer when he played

And the key to me, is that he is a 3-4 coach

He or baby Scott would work for me

Give me Schotty Sr for the short term with an eye on elevating his son in two seasons as HC..

Give me Favre now, dump Clemens, see who between Ainge and Rataliff is the better QB of the future, if neither look to draft in 2010 draft....

Just looking back after the NE game...the video showed them embracing

Just a hunch

OK.

If Favre comes back he needs to work with the team in the off season and be in condition to play. Also the Jets have to demand a answer by a set deadline if he wants to play or not.
