Green DNA
Holy crap, everyone needs to get a friggin grip here. The only thing Jets fans have to be disappointed about is the fact that Cowher is not taking the HC job. Despite the "sky is falling" scenario that everyone has laid out, this job is a hell of a lot better than the jobs that new coaches generally get. Despite the Favre (please leave now) fiasco, this is not a 1-15 disaster and there is a lot of talent on the Jets. If offered, Spagnuolo or Rex Ryan will jump at this job and then we will have a wonderful circle jerk about going to the SB next year. Shanahan did the Jets a favor by not considering the job, he is a has-been that has existed on past glory for many years now. Take a look at the Broncos record over the past 10 years and explain why the Broncos made a huge mistake in tossing him out on his ass. We don't need someone elses trash, that would be typical Jets. Everyone needs to stop the hysterics and calm down, there will be no Billick, Fassel or any other retread. It will be a "hot" assistant, most likely Spags or Ryan. While I think Spags will not be as successful without the big pass rush, at least the guy is agressive and that is what we all want. Ditto for Ryan. There have been plenty of instances where a good coach actually helped develop a QB that was cast aside and made an offense around him.
NIGHT STALKER
Now that I've decided to not jump, what do I have to look forward to in the future? Being a long time Jets fan and always waiting for the next shoe to drop, I've collected enough shoes to open up a shoe store.

4HCrew
I get your point but there is going to be angst...the Jets came off a big time collapse and are looking for a new leader on the sidelines...not exactly blue skies..give it a little time it has been less than a week at this point
Irish Jet
I completely agree with you on the coaching. I've said all along I'd be happy with just about any of the candidates we've shown interest in (Except Schotty Jr.). Rex or Spags would both be great upgrades IMO and althought they're unproven they've both shown the potential to be something. However I can understand why Jets fans would still be depressed about our current situation. Our QB situation is a joke and by the sounds of it there doesn't seem to be much harmony or togetherness between the players. Hopefully the new coach sorts these things out and gets this team on the right track. Brett ****ing Favre could also help out by retiring IMMEDIATELY!
