ECURB
tsk tsk@ you guys creaming on yourselves over Rex Ryan. Even if we bring him here, our talent on defense is sub par to that of the Ravens. We'll just end up being frustrated all over again. Not true, they were leading a bunch of stats early in the year... the talent is there... it wasnt being used... the JETS would be a top 5 D with Rex Ryan running it. I have no idea, but Ryan found him. Bart Scott was a UDFA or something. He can find defensive talent. It's not like we have a bunch of scrubs anyway. True. The Cardinal game said it all. In the first half the Jets were aggressive and shutout Warner and the Cardinal's high powered offense. Then they went soft in the second half and the Cardinals scored at will. Fortunately, Favre kept scoring.

Even if we bring him here, our talent on defense is sub par to that of the Ravens. We'll just end up being frustrated all over again. Regardless of what some people think, our defense has talent. Also, it's the scheming, the talent recognition (Did you not hear that it was HIM who liked Jim Leonhard who's been making plays all over the place). These are things that would get me excited. PatriotReign37
This game is lining up for a Tuna departure. The football team sh#ts the bed in the playoffs and Parcells leaves town. Just watch, the Dolphins wont be crap next season if Parcells is gone.
JMJ
Rex Ryan produced the following thus far: 3 down lineman on 18 of 26 defensive snaps (69%) 4 down lineman on 7 of 26 defensive snaps (27%) 2 down lineman on 1 of 26 defensive snaps (4%) Brought 4 or more defenders off the snap on 26 of 26 defensive snaps (100%) Brought 5 or more defenders off the snap on 14 of 26 defensive snaps (54%) Brought 6 or more defenders off the snap on 6 of 26 defensive snaps (23%) Brought 7 or more defenders off the snap on 2 of 26 defensive snaps (8%) This only produced 1 sack but it produced a ton of pressure and 2 INTs off of hurried throws. *Edited to add* My numbers include 2 plays that were played through completion but do not count due to penalty while they do NOT include 2 goal line plays since they have virtually the whole team on the line and the whole team coming off the snap. ECURB
Our LB's are slow. We dont know how slow or fast they are... it was all part of the scheme... they had a hard time reacting... Rex Ryan makes sure his guys know 110% which way they are turning... no hesitation will increase your speed by a mile...

DMaynard
Our LB's are slow. They are a lot faster running forward rushing the passer than they are backpeddling in pass defense. Put players in their best position to succeed.
