Garb
Kinda ironic you should say that, being as the patricias are going to slap the franchise tag on his arse, so Detroit does not snatch him up. Well that is every way incorrect. If they slap the tag, it means one of two things. 1) Brady won't be ready in September 2009 or 2) they would be more than happy to TRADE him to anyone - especially Detroit. Gainzo
No AFCE team would have beat the Ravens D today. The Pats would have given the Ravens a game at least. It was a sunny 40 degree day up here and that would have allowed the Pats to go 5 wide with a competent QB throwing the ball. Don't forget that the Pats have only lost 1 home playoff game in franchise history and that was in the 70's. It doesn't matter anyway as the Dolphins won the Division and then got embarrassed on their home field.

If the Pats had played the Ravens today I doubt Cassel would have thrown 4 INT's. Would the Ravens have won? Probably. I was pointing out that Pennington isn't a competent QB in the playoffs. There would have been no need for a tie breaker. I think something is getting lost in translation here. I'm not making excuses about the Pats not making the playoffs as Miami won the AFCE fair and square. These are the points I have tried to make in this thread: 1). If the Ravens traveled to NE today it would have been a closer game as the Pats would have spread the field on offense. 2). Pennington sucks in the playoffs and I doubt Cassel would have thrown 4 picks. 3). The reason the Pats didn't win the AFCE is because they lost to the Chargers and Miami beat the Chargers. 4). madmike hates the Patriots with a passion I have never seen before in my life!! I'm guessing that not making the playoffs is probably the best thing that could've happened to Cassel's future earnings potential, though.

Gainzo
Right, and the point I made is that if you would have swept the Jets or the phins the loss to the Chargers would not matter. That obviously didn't matter as the Chargers game was the tiebreaker that made the Phins AFCE Champs. I was happy they were destroyed today. The Pats will be back in 2009. Since 1994 the Pats have gone 150-90 in the regular season, appeared in 6 AFC Championship games and 5 Super Bowls. Keep up the hate.
