NIGHT STALKER
Chad said in a post game interview this was his best season ever. I guess he would rather lose a playoff game then win one. newjakecity
I guess medocrity is okay for Sparano than. What Penningtologists and Miami fans need to realize is that today was the epitome of why many Jet fans wanted to get rid of Pennington: He is incapable of beating very good to great defenses. He can beat bad defenses, average defenses, and good defenses (if he's on his game). He faced one very good defense before today this year: when he faced Baltimore this year (Ravens won the earlier meeting 27-13). Did Pennington have a better year thant Favre? Yes, I can't deny that. But the Jets took a chance on greatness (and bringing a championship) by bringing Favre in. It didn't work out. But in the end, if a quarterback is not able to beat great defenses, than he isn't likely winning a championship.

Similarly awesome moment: Did anyone hear during the game when the announcers recounted their conversation with Chad last night? Apparently he said "I just want to keep this game close in the 4th quarter." Really? That's all you want? Chad Pennington is a born loser.

I was lmao off at this but forgot about it with all the INT"s he kept throwing.. WTF? They were home playing a rookie QB (who played poorly) and Chad's goal was to keep it close and steal it at the end? Herman Edwards made that very same comment once I swear it.. RutgersJetFan
So let me get this straight, the Favre trade didn't get us to the playoffs, but it: 1. Basically prevented the Pats from getting in due to him sucking. 2. Stuck the Fins with Chad. Brilliant strategy Tanny, just brilliant.

Even when he does the most simple little things right or even if he just refrains from doing something wrong, people praise him up and down and tell him how good and special he is for doing that. And then if someone dares to criticize him, people think its their civic duty to come to his defense at all costs and those who do the criticizing are considered sick and disgusting for daring to pick on someone so defenseless. All that's really left to send it all home would be for him to travel to games on a specially designed Team Short-Bus while being required to wear his helmet at all times. My personal favorite was always when the Jets were matched up against a team we all know would pick Chad apart. The Jets would score first and lead to some mediocre FG drive to go up 3-0 and with 3 and 1/2 quarters to play, people would be carrying on about how great Chad was. Inevitably the Jets would only score another 0 to 10 points throughout the rest of the game.
