TNJet
S William Moore from Missouri. Teamed with Rhodes we could have a secondary that rivals the Ravens. This guys just nasty, see for yourself at youtube,Will Moore.
124
I picked the Safety, Moore, but I hope Taylor Mays somehow could fall that far instead. Maclin is a joke. Think Devin Hester, but like, half of that. Think Dante Hall! We don't need a Running Back or an OT.
BroadwayJ667
maybe, Maualuga will fall, i see offensive lineman going at a premium this year, just because good tackles always go early and teams at the top need help there.

TNJet
Isn't it FIRST important to know who the coach is and whether Favre has hopefully retired? Isn't this premature? Favre retired 3 years ago. I like the thoughts of a young RT too,Woody is getting old and we need tio groom a valuable replacement. Think of our depth at Oline..yikes! none. We could relive 07 if we were to lose Faneca and Woody to injuries! Oh no,draft some oline depth. There is like 4 Stud OT predicted in the 1st rnd. LOL I think he's a lot more like DeSean Jackson, I think he'll be a stud.

TNJet
One things for sure, with our D likely going back to 4-3,you can forget about a DE/DT in the early rnds. We have several starting cailber 4-3 DE's now,and wont add to that mess. Gholston,Thomas,Ellis,Coleman,Bowens,Pace, heck even Mosely played a little DE this year. Hester as a WR, as Maclin is a WR/KR like he is. BTW, a large part of Hester's non-TD season was because of his use on offense. He is now starting for Chicago which is going to hurt his skills returning kicks and punts. Same thing would happen to Leon Washington if we used him to run the ball 15 times a game. Chicago is lucky to have a guy like Daniel Manning, but Hester is still by far the better return man. He is one of the best ever, it is not just the schemes. How'd those schemes that a former Bear assitant that we signed to become our Special Teams coach prior to Westhoff coming back work out for us? So badly we needed Westhoff back. We have better personal for a 34. The only way we go to a 43 is if Spanuolo comes in and he is hell bent on sticking a square peg into a round hole like Mangini was. Say hello to another three years of inconsisent defense because we cannot go out in Free Agency and spend like we did last year to get 43 players. Of course he will be there becuase nobody will want him. Don't worry, I won't be supporting him if we do idiotically select him. I wasn't going to select McFadden if we had picked him either. Would be a stupid, stupid pick. Get a WR with actually #1 WR talent, because THAT is what we need. Not ****ing Dante Hall or Devin Hester. We have Leon Washington to return kicks and punts. Give me a #1 WR talent like one of the two UNC WR's or Crabtree (I know they'd have to trade up to get him, relax).

But I dont think he'd be a first rnd pick more like a second. I was osting players I thought would be in the 17-22 range where we will be picking. Woody is getting old? He's a RT who just turned 31. He's not old. Those guys play at a high level into their mid-30's. He's also under contract for 4 more seasons. You don't sign a guy to a long-term deal and then, when he didn't disappoint, in the next season draft his replacement with your first-round pick. The one area this team is fortunate enough to have under contract - with quality players - is along the OL. They could use some depth, but you don't draft depth in the middle of round 1. Any OL pick is a reach for the Jets in rounds 1 or 2, and probably in round 4.

A team that needs immediate starters at other positions doesn't draft backups/depth in round 1. Particularly along the OL. And we're in no more of need for depth along the OL than we are in the secondary or at receiver - areas where we need starters AND backups. 4HCrew
The Jets need playmakers that can start immediately, not depth in the first few rounds. This seems a bit premature though not knowing who the coach is and the style that will be implemented

I like all of those WR's too. I do think Crabtree is overrated a bit. He's very good but he's not Calvin Johnson type good. The kid Hakeem Nicks is a beast. I'd love the Jets to go after him. 124
The kid Hakeem Nicks is a beast. I'd love the Jets to go after him. Finally we can agree on something. BTW I think Crabtree isn't going to be on the same level as R.Moss, Fitzgerald, Andre Johnson & Calvin Johnson. I think he's going to be an Anquan Boldin type of guy, with more speed. He'll be close to being elite, but not quite.
gang_green03
Out of those choices I'd probably go with Maclin, with Wells a close second. At this point I'd rate Maclin slightly behind Wells in terms of BPA but since WR is a much greater need, Wells isn't so much better that he trumps the bigger need. Not really a huge fan of those choices though lol.
