aec4
Happy days, happy days! Please hire him Dolphins, please. Why does everyone think Peterson is this awful GM that never did anything ever? look up his wiki and see what he's done. I do think he's "past his prime" but there are worse choices. PatriotReign37
Miami Dolphins' sale could change everything - Football - MiamiHerald.com It should be noted that Peterson is the ultimate showman. He made KC Chiefs games the event that it is today.

I do think he's "past his prime" but there are worse choices. His forte was finding FA gems like Saliamoa, Roaf, Holmes, Tounge. Very good with the cap, KC is 30 mil under and tough as nails in negotiations with Agents and players. His drafts were terrible unless a player fell in his lap like Derrick Johnson. shawn306
This is looking very similar to the whole Parcells, Leon Hess, Woody situation. Ross and Peterson go all the way back to the days of the USFL when Ross owned the Philadelphia/Baltimore Stars and Peterson was the GM. This could get very interesting. crashingjet
If Peterson were to join the Dolphins, he might not be involved in football personnel decisions, which are Parcells' domain as long as he stays with the team. Peterson could be a candidate to replace Joe Bailey, the chief executive officer of Dolphins Enterprises, which runs the team and stadium. Bailey's job is focused on business initiatives, not football decisions. Bailey, who was hired in January 2005, is in the final year of his contract and isn't expected back, a source familiar with the situation said Monday. Bailey has been unsuccessful in one of his primary duties - securing naming rights for Dolphin Stadium. http://www.palmbeachpost.com/dolphins/content/sports/epaper/2009/01/05/0105dolphins.html

Garb
Tuna to the Jets would be the best thing that could happen to the franchise. Granted, Tuna won't be there for very long. Three year max? But who cares. He's proven to be quite effective in a short period of time. Plus, the organization sorely needs some infusion of credibility. Tuna will provide that instantly. He'd help sell hope - which Woody "hopes" translates to PSL sales. He may be one of only two people in the entire NFL with enough cache and balls to "bench" Favre - assuming Favre returns. I do think he's "past his prime" but there are worse choices. The last time one of his KC teams won a playoff game Joe Montana was their QB, Buddy Ryan was the DC in Houston, Buffalo was still going to SBs, Phill Simms and LT were still playing, Boomer had just capped his first year w/ us, Rich Kottie was 2 years away, Pete Carroll was introduced as HC of the Jets, Bill Belichick was coaching in Cleveland, Paul O'Neill just finished his 1st season w/ the Yankees, Michael Jordan won his 2nd of 6 NBA titles, the New York Islanders were in the Conference Finals! All he has done in his tenure is drive fans away from the stadium, something the Dolphins already do well.
