do the names leon washington and dustin keller come to mind?

Leon Washington our 3rd down back? Explosive, but not on the field much.

Jury is still out on Keller. I didn't see an explosive player, yet.

our offense is not explosive. Ask anyone. Who stretches the field in this offense? Answer: Noone.

Are you serious?? People get so hard up over the guy because he can hit hard, but don't ever watch the games. This is exactly one of those picks that we would make, the fans would cheer and than get pissed off about later.

1) He's not the best linebacker in college football right now. That would be Aaron Curry without a doubt, follow by Brandon Spikes if he comes out.

2) Everyone was complaining about our linebackers in coverage, well Rey Rey has some of the stiffest hips from sideline to sideline and really struggles in coverage. He misses plenty of tackles due to always going for the big hit. Besides going for the big hit, he is out of position quite often.

3) I tend to not care too much about personal issues, but his track record of getting in fights, grinding on erin andrews (albeit quite funny) etc. doesn't bode well for coming to NYC, especially after the plax case.

If you want a classic thumper guy, which we have david harris for, look at jasper brinkley out of south carolina.

We need someone to replace barton and someone who can cover; like a darry bekwith out of my LSU or Jamar Chaney out of Miss state.

Exactly. I feel that we need to take the most explosive offensive player available at our pick, unless there's depth and a stud defensive player come around; maclin, DHB, Harvin etc. Someone who can consistently get separation and force teams to focus on; that will make our other players get open as well.

A little off topic....BJ Raji is an absolute stud, but I think his teammate Ron Brace we could look for in the later rounds as our backup for Jenkins/

Although I agree that we don't have an explosive offense and I'm aware it is a hge problem don't talk like eveything is well and good on the defensive side of the ball. Our defense flat out sucked down the stretch last season. It NEEDS some major upgrades both in talent and of course in coaching.

We do need an explosive threat on offense but if someone like Ryan or Spags comes here with the mindset to build a DOMINANT defense like the ones they helped build with the Ravens/Giants then I sure as hell wouldn't stop them.

Yes, but the odds of landing an instant success at WR outside the top-5 picks are slim. Not that there won't be good ones, or good ones this year. But it's very hard to find one that has a major impact as a rookie. If it's instant-success you want, better off finding that in FA.

He wouldn't be a "him and no one else" type pick to me. I'd be fine with him as the pick though. I'd also be fine with a WR and especially a DB.

so he's really a pro athlete?

??

Im agreeing with his point of us not having an explosive player on offense. Our offense doesnt scare anyone outside of Leon Washington. Our wide recievers are mediocre and Keller has upside but needs to show more.

What are you talking about?

What about trades?

In your expert advice, what do you think it would cost us to trade for some like say a Calvin Johnson?

Let's see him do it this weekend against the Steelers.

The Colts defense isnt that great.

Yeah well judging what he does against the Steelers is useless because no-one does anything against the Steelers.

The fact of the matter is Leon is out only explosive player, home run hitter, gamebreaker, whatever you want to call it - He's it!

He doesn't touch the ball enough, it's that simple. Fans from other teams keep saying the same thing - The one player who they fear on our team is Leon, he's the guy who can just change a game in an instant yet there are games where he'd get one ****ing carry! Just disgraceful!

Try the entire team plus the next three years worth of draft picks.:winking0001:

Nah seriously though, not a chance we're getting a guy like Johnson, no chance.

Johnson's a special player. He like his namesake Andre of the Houston Texans are the type of players a franchise will do EVERYTHING to hold on to.

They are both now elite WR's IMO.

There is one pretty darn good WR hitting free agency this year:

T.J Housh..

Championship!
