Even if Brian Schottenheimer stays and just gushes to high hell how marvelous they all are, there is absolutely, positively zero chance that a new head coach goes into the season (& rests his own reputation) with only Ratliff, Clemens, and Ainge as the team's 3 QB's from training camp onward.

Zero.

Favre is going to retire. He has nothing more to play for. I would love to see Hakeem Nicks fall to us in the 2nd round and have Laverneus drive off a steep steep cliff in the off-season b*tchin n' complaining the whole way down the mountain. I wouldn't mind a good young WR corps of Cotchery, Nicks and Clowney/Smith/Wright as slot backs. Also, am I the only one that didn't have a problem with Feely kicking for us? I mean Nugent wasn't hands down better was he? Feely was 85% with a 55yd Long. Mike has only been better than 85% 1 year out of his 3 in the league (not counting this year) and has never kicked a 55 yarder.

That would be a dream come true for me. Having the Jets actually drafting someone thats a Gator, not to mention someone like Spikes who is awesome.

It stinks watching the Jets always draft either Hurricanes (Vilma), or Noles (Coles, Washington). Gimme a gator, like Spikes, damnit... lol

No problem as long as that Gator isn't a WR.

Harvin is more like a Reggie Bush type player. He can play any position on the field, QB, RB, WR, KR, PR, you name it. He's basically not your typical Florida Gator Wide Receiver.

I couldn't agree more...which is exactly why we shouldn't draft him. We have more pertinent needs to fill (i.e. a #2 CB or a LB to replace Barton if we lose him to free agency or a young DE stud for an aging Ellis). We have playmakers in Washington, Brad Smith, Clowney who can do the Percy Harvin stuff. Especially given his injury tendencies.

Draft: ILB Brandon Spikes

Sign: CB Nnamdi Asomugha

If that happens, nothing will erase my smile, until the Jets piss me off during the regular season, like they always do... lol

Once again, I could not agree more. I love the Spikes pick and if we could ever sign Asomugha our Defense would look pretty stout heading into training camp. Points for you.

biggest, most glaring problem with this scenario.....nothing is done to address the glaring hole at quarterback. could ratliff be the one...maybe. but are we still putting all our eggs in some unproven basket. WE NEED A ****ING QUARTERBACK!!!!!!!!

with 3, 25 or younger qb's,what makes you not want to give one of them a chance? I'm am terrified we cut a couple of these guys and they go to another team and turn out to be pro bowlers, and it CAN happen. we need to go with who we have, its the smarter thing to do. I can see it now,Mangini takes one of our youngster and turns him into a star...greeeeaaat.

Exactly. They just wouldn't look right on the PSL brochure.

Why the heck is everyone saying "sign Nnamdi Asomougha!!!!!". Newsflash: The Oakland Raiders are NOT going to let him go. Al Davis is dumb, but he isn't that dumb. If Nnamdi doesn't agree to a long term deal they will once again place the Franchise Tag on him. He will not be a Free Agent. He is the best Cornerback in the league.

Secondly, zero chance that the new coach doesn't get some kind of veteran to compete with Clemens / Ratliff / Ainge.

Thirdly, zero chance Hakeem Nicks falls to the 2nd round.

Fourthly, Spikes at 17 would be an excellent pick if your focus is building on defense. Which it should be since defense wins championships. However if he or one of the two top Corner's (Jenkins & Davis) arn't there, WR is the way to go and Nicks or his UNC counterpart should be there.

or the more likely scenario....they all turn out to be mediocre JAG qb's and we still didn't draft/sign a legitimate qb.
