JETSorDIE
Ok i know most Teams dont have a back up QB worth a crap. But why is it such a big deal to bench a QB that is stinking up the joint. I dont care what McNabb says but if he wins a Super Bowl he has to thank the Andy Reid for Benching him. Delhomme should have been benched. Brett in the last game should have been benched also.. Coached need to have some balls and stop with we cant hurt a QBs pshyche.
JoeC36
casue they cost so much money and are usually the owners pride and joy and the medias golden boy. No coach wants to deal with the repercussions from the owner and the media.
Maxman
For the Jets they couldn't bench Brett because Clemens wet the bed all year in practice. Other than that not much was in the way.
Vicious89x
IMO it's not the QB's psyche, it's the teams. Your QB is usually the leader of the O and if he is benched it can be seen as some players as "giving up." What Andy Reid did was the right thing, it wasn't a "do or die" game quite like ours or in the playoffs like Delhomme.
SoFlaJets
and Eli should have been benched yesterday, I mean just to SEE if another guy can do something...it used to be that way in the league but not anymore. It seems like there are too many implications and wild-eyed speculation by the media with that kind of a move...like I said you used to be able to do it
