Would Owens make the HOF? I was thinking about this as they discussed this thug turd all day today. Tons of catches, he's been the focal point of every offense he has been on, in turn, all of his offenses have tended to be very good.

I doubt he gets in with his dropped passes, wearing out his welcome in three cities and never winning a SB.

Who knows, I hope Carter makes it though.

i think T.O. makes it.

Hes #10 in all time receiving yards, #6 in receptions, #2 in receiving touchdowns, and holds the NFL record for receptions in a game. and still has some years left in him.

i think he gets in. i just dont know how long it takes.

If I had to guess I would say:

Bruce Smith

Cris Carter (I dont get how he did not make it last season)

Shannon Sharpe

Paul Tagliabue

and maybe Rod Woodson and Richard Dent.

I think Woodson definitely goes it, but I could see them waiting a year or two before it happens.

Owens is going to have a tough time because he is known as a cancer around football. As a player Moss and Harrison are clearly better. Holt and Bruce are going to be considered better players than Owens too. The question is will they put in a Hines Ward who is going to get love because he won a Super Bowl with Pittsburgh over Owens. Owens is certainly better than Ward and I see Ward as the cutoff from that generation. The next tier of players (Muhammad, Mason, Galloway, etc...) is a notch below.

I would agree.

The person is not judged, but the player. I could see a year or two of getting the middle finger before getting in.
