Interesting way to look at schotty

This is just theory, I am not sold, I want all traces of that 08 crew gone, BUT

Listen to this:

06 He is given Penny. Now, as we saw with the dolphins, who obviously have themselves a bright OC, with Penny, you NEED to build a special offense for him to succeed. This year it was that wildcat stuff.

In 06 Schotty put together a series of different looks, shifty plays, and no huddles that a smart QB, like chad could run all day. He was hailed a GENIUS, just like the dolphins OC is now.

In 07, that 3-4 with the 4-3 roster was as painful as oral surgey with no insurance.

In 08, he was ready to go with Chad until like 2 weeks before the season, then it was a chenese fire drill. We had a QB with twice the talent and half the brains.

WTF knows, maybe a fresh start would do him good. Head Coach, HELL NO!

OC, if that's what they want, I'll see.

I rather see him on ESPN, than our sidelines, but....maybe... all i'm sayin.

I can come up with excuses for anybody. Except Rich Kotite. :D Please explain giving Leon the ball once in a game that he runs for a 47 yard TD the one time he carried the ball. Please explain having Favre continally throw on 3rd and 1 when they have the conference leading rusher and Favre was obviously having shoulder problems.

I know how Maynard looks at Schotty: through a scope.

interesting ?

hastily put together mumo jumbo from off the top of your head is more like it :D

seriously, in '07 you mention only the defense

mmmmkay

thanks Larz, well, i meant that clearly the defense was the reason we were 4-12, Clemens started 4-5 games. We were always in a bad spot, making Chad play catch up, that kind of crap.

You're right, shotty sux, Sorry Larz, i know I hyped it up to be some big theory, and it was pretty much off the top off my head. seriously.

I dontknow guys, I still have a feeling about this guy.I would like to see him get a chance to be our coach. Some continuity would be nice for us for a change. Hes a smart dude, he needs to get a chance the entire football world sayse he deserves. Can we really debate which coach will be best for us, in this world of unknown coaches...We shall see..

we had the 3rd most points scored in team history! When we were 8-3 we were 1 point under leading the league in scoring! NOT putting Leon in? Maybe, just maybe, THAT was Mangini? Throwing on 3rd and 1? Mangini? I wouldn't mind Jr staying around for the continuity.

lancemehl loves to rewrite history, that Favre arrived 2 weeks before the season starts, when it was more than twice that.

And while I have no issues with the Jets dumping Favre, there weren't too many complaints when we were putting up back-to-back-to-back 30 point games since like forever. Or when we beat the a SB team because he threw 6 TD's in a single game with such pedestrian receivers that everyone thinks they need to be upgraded as one of the first orders of business next year.

That being said, I don't know that the use of cap room is better spent on Favre over Clemens/Ratliff/Ainge/other, rather than on a real CB over nobody, a real ILB over nobody, a real safety over nobody, and/or a WR who can outrun an old lady in a wheelchair (and also catch the football).
