You can't compare the Lions and the Jets right now. Not even close. Besides if Arizona loses in the Super Bowl that isn't any great accomplishment. Yes I would rather the Jets played in it but the goal is to win it.

Jets will head back into loser-land. We're the worst franchise in football.

I honestly think even if the Cardinals lose for them this is a huge accomplishment. Remember they used to be as big of a joke as the Jets, and Lions. This is a huge accomplishment for the Cards, no doubt about it. Only Jets fans have the Jets in the same sentence as the Lions at this point though. Montreal Jet
Now that the Arizona Cardinals are in the SB, the NY Jets and Detroit Lions are officially the two biggest laughingstocks in the NFL. If you are going just by 2008 win losses, then the Jets aren't the 2nd worst. But step back and look at the overall big picture. The Jets are a disaster. The Troll
Chiefs and Browns are more pathetic. Must be the coaches! Yes, lately, but not historically. It really is pretty much the Jets and the Lions in terms of sucking massively for all eternity.

Besides if Arizona loses in the Super Bowl that isn't any great accomplishment. Yes I would rather the Jets played in it but the goal is to win it. Come on Max. It is not like the Jets are even on the cusp of a division title much less conference or an unfathomable Superbowl title. Plus, even after Matt mIllen ran this team into the ground they still have a higher winning percentage. Lions 488-569-32 (.462) Jets 331-401-8 (.452)

ZachEY
Stole this from PFT: This leaves the Browns, Jaguars, Texans, Lions, and Saints as the only teams to never play[url=http://www.profootballtalk.com/category/rumor-mill/#] in a Super Bowl. In addition to those six teams, the Bills, Bengals, Titans, Chargers, Eagles, Vikings, Falcons, Panthers, and Seahawks have never hoisted a Lombardi Trophy. Bugg
Simply want to go to the Big Game. And like 1985-6, 1998-9, 2000-01, 2001-02, 2003-03 and this season, we keep blowing it. We get chances-Brady done for the year, 8-3 before the Broncos with possibly the division and 2 seed for the taking-and piss it away. In many ways it's a bigger tease than the Lions, who aren't really in it for some time. We ahve chances, we jsut shat the bed again. Those Kotite-type seasons when you're done before the trees turn colors, is in many ways easier. Winning a playoff game is a huge accomplishment. Winning the conference is a GIGANTIC accomplishment. Winning the Super Bowl is almost impossible and an amazing accomplishment. You can take pride in a season without winning it all.

Absolutely untrue to say that the Jets are the worst football franchise, when there is a team even in our own division that has NEVER won the superbowl or made the playoffs this entire decade, when we have made it several times. Additionally, six teams have been waiting LONGER to win a division title (not including the franchises that are tied with us). 9 teams have waited LONGER to appear in a conference championship. Bugg
Even in the NY market, every other team around here has won a championship since 1969 except the Jets. Even the Nets in the ABA, and they won 2 Eastern Conference titles recently.

Talk about seeing things in a vaccuum. 13 years ago, Bill Parcells took over this horrible franchise. 13 years later tell me what happened. Give it to me it step by step. Tell me all about the Patriots, too.

How about the Browns? 4 years of suffering under a terrible coach, only to fire him and sign another bad coach to a four year contract??? I'd say they're in a worse position than us as well.
