Big Ben = Elite QB

That's right 124. The guy is amazing. On his way to a second SB which I believe he'll go onto win. He's proven that he can win without a great running game. No QB can extend a play like Ben and no QB can throw on the move and improvise in the way he can. Eventually he's going to be up there with Manning and Brady.

What?

Big Ben is good, but he is hardly revolutionizing the game.

Yes, Willie Parker is horrible.

Doesn't help having the best Defense in the NFL in almost every catagory either.

But hey, Go Ben! You are amazing.

What did he have, 2 YPC in that game? If even that?

Ben was great against a GREAT defense. He threw for 255 yards and a TD while having another PERFECTLY thrown deep ball dropped by Sweed for what would have been another TD. He also had another deep ball dropped by Parker.

He's a great QB and he's been spectacular in the playoffs for the Steelers. He's an elite QB, there's no doubt about it anymore.

Other than Brady, Ben has the best pocket presence in the history of the league.

Stats never tell the whole story, and that certainly holds true with Ben. I dont even know how he does it considering he obviously isnt the most athletic guy in the world.

Actually yes, he is..

Even Thomas Jones is better then him, which really says something..

Rivers is my favorite QB from the 04 class, but Big Ben makes plays when needed..

That's his greatest strength though and that's how he can extend so many plays. He breaks so many tackles it's ridiculous for a QB.

That's what I mean, if you watched the Titans game, you would know that it's also his weakness as well.

That's what he does, but it can very well hurt you.

Well, the best defense in the league helps his team get to the SuperBowl.....

Donovan can do the same thing. Like I said, Big Ben, key word bif, is not doing anything to revolutionize the game.

He is a big dude. That has more to 'extending' plays then anything.

McNabb isn't even close to Ben when it comes to throwing on the run. He's far too erratic with his passes.

Yeah your right, he was terrible this year.

No, he was terrible last year with a bad offensive line. He was good this year with a good offensive line.

He was also good in Chicago with a good offensive line, and bad in Arizona with a bad offensive line.

His blocking and leadership push his overall value to "above average," but not by much. All RBs need a good line in front of them, but the really good ones can create on their own--turn a big hole into a 60-yard TD, for example. Jones simply doesn't have the speed or power to do that--give him a big hole, and you get a 10-yard gain.

If you open holes, he'll find them. If not, you get 2 yards and a cloud of dust.

Ben IS elite. Period.

I said last year that if I had to choose any QB to build my team around in the NFL, and I couldn't have Manning or Brady, I'd take Ben without thinking twice about it.

I still stand by that.

I have to disagree on that part. Jay Cutler is one of the best, if not the best QB's in the game today throwing the football on the move.
