favre for mcnabb .. straight up! :-)

Both of these QB's suck. McNabb looked awful yesterday. The only thing consistent with him is his inconsistency. He missed some absolutely WIDE open throws against the Cardinals and as always he ****s up in the big game. Don't want any part of him or Favre. Time to move on from the has-beens.

BTW, anyone see the amount of time the Philly offensive line was giving McNabb yesterday? He had all day to throw and he still sucked. That was largely the same with Favre this season. When QB's are struggling because of pressure it's one thing, when they're struggling because they're just wildly innacurate then there's a serious problem.

Too bad Favre could not suck it up throwing for over 300 yards.... McNabb far from sucks and would be the best QB the Jets have had since Namath..but then again that is not saying much

Don't understimate how inconsistent he is though and the effect that has on the team. He made a good comeback, but away from the 3rd quarter where he couldn't miss he was shockingly bad. Also, like I said - Take away that great pass protection (which yesterday was just amazing) and I doubt he'd be even close to what he looks now.

Saying he sucks was a bit of a stretch. He doesn't but his inconsistency would drive Jet fans to the brink of insanity. He must be such a frustrating QB to have play for your team.

Seriously?

Outside of Matt Millen, who in their right mind would even consider that trade?

And what is up with all the McNabb hate? He has more regular season and playoff wins, yards, TDs and less INTs then Warner. He has done it with crappy receivers and a coach that calls too many pass plays.

He is not Brady or Manning, but he is pretty damm good.

exactly what receivers is he working with? also I think many times the play calling is suspect with Westbrook being taken out of the game. I will give you the inconsistency thing but sometimes the playcalling could help him a bit.

Did you see the wide open WR's he missed yesterday, and on other occasions made his WR's make unnecessary GREAT catches. There was a play where he had Avant wide open accross the middle, Avant made a great catch because the ball was thrown at his feet. If it would have hit him in the hands it would have been a 50+ yard gain, because there was nothing but green grass ahead of him.

Like I said. He flashes greatness at times but he's too inconsistent to ever win a championship. Not to mention he's very injury prone AND has lost most of his mobility something which was the key to his game in his earlier years.

I'd pass on McNabb.

You were just slurpping Big Ben yesterday for this and McNabb has been doing it for a decade.

91-51-1 with crap supporting talent.

Crap supporting talent?

That has to be one of the most retarded statements EVER!

Maybe the protection unit in the league - Crap? Okay

Brian Westbrook = Crap? Okay

Jim Johnson and that defense = Crap? Okay

Not to mentions he had Terrell Owens for a few of those wins. But he's crap too, right?

There is no comparison between what Ben can do right now and what McNabb can do right now. Ben is bigger, stronger, at this point probably faster (McNabb is not what he used to be) and a lot more consistent and accurate when it comes to passing. McNabb right now isn't in Bens league.

So name a QB that has led his team to championship title games as many times as McNabb with mostly mediocre receivers and questionble offensive lines- he has his faults but I would not slight Mcnabb that much .

Please elaborate on "questionable offensive lines"?

Also, there's a big difference between McNabb now, post knee surgeries and McNabb then. McNabb was one of the best dual threat QB's in the league in those days, he's lost a lot of that ability.

I seriously don't see the point in trading for McNabb. Would he bbe an upgrade? No doubt in my mind, but I'm adopting the same attitude I did with the Favre trade. He won't win us a SB and I think we'd be better off building around and developing a young QB.

Eagles have never had any premier guys on their line in McNabb's run at QB-I did not say to trade for him but he is certainly better than most QB's out there as experienced.

What? Guys like Jon Runyan and Tra Thomas are VERY good offensive lineman.

Also, Their line as a whole has always been great in pass protection. McNabb always seems to have all day to throw.

No $hit. Donovan has been in the league 10 years. That comparison is dumb. Donovan was eluding teams long before Big Ben was in college. Go YouTube that play he had against Dallas a few years ago when he rolled right across the field to avoid pressure, changed directions, rolled left across the field and then launched the pass for a TD. Before, he played 10 years, Donovan had far more athletic ability.

Who has Donvan been throwing passes to? You know where a majority of a QBs passes are thrown to.

Here is a list of crap receivers McNabb has had.

Charles Johnson, Torrance Small, James Thrash, Todd Pinkston, Freddie Mitchell, Greg Lewis, Reggie Brown, Donte Stallworth, Kevin Curtis, DeSean Jackson and TO. Other then TO, has any of the others even made the Pro Bowl?

Big Ben is a very good QB, but he benefits playing for the best run team in the league.

My point yesterday never implied that Ben now is better at improvising then McNabb was then. I said he was the best at it CURRENTLY. Never once did I say Ben now>McNabb then.

The sad truth is, he's a different QB now.

Also, WTF is wrong with DeSean Jackson? LOL
