Called GR-U850U The cord I think I need is--- Although, neither end goes into a USB...which is why i'm hesitant. Yet this is the 50 dollar cord some jack ass at American wanted me to buy. Help? It's not USB, it's Firewire (IEEE 1394). Very few (if any) camcorders use USB, because Firewire has a higher transfer rate. If your PC doesn't have an interface for it, you'll need to buy a PCI card. The end of the connector in the cable you showed is correct for the camera, but the connector on the other end depends on the interface on the PC, as there are two different types: Here's what the'd look like on your computer: 6-pin (more common): 4-pin: Here is a card/cable combo from Monoprice for $7.97: http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=103&cp_id=10302&cs_id=1030201&p_id=157&seq=1&format=2 I'm not sure how handy you are as far as installing a PCI card in a PC, but it's really not difficult. If it turns out you already have a Firewire port on your PC, then you'd need one of these cables: 4-pin to 4-pin (3ft, $1.70): http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=103&cp_id=10301&cs_id=1030101&p_id=1475&seq=1&format=2 4-pin to 6-pin (3ft, $1.73): http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=103&cp_id=10301&cs_id=1030102&p_id=38&seq=1&format=
