war ensemble
He's not worth it at all, so definitely should be saved. We only save 500K by cutting him anyways.
Fishooked
Plus you can't cut him now until you can see what Ryan can get out of him first. But this will now be BT's third coaching regime, if he doesn't get it together this season, it will be his last as a Jet.
redman81
Not cut, TRADED. We can surely find someone else for less money that would give us more production than Thomas. I'm still for drafting Everette Brown if he is around at pick 17.

PETROCK
Cut Chris Baker. He can't catch sh!t anymore, besides Dustin Keller is the real "Touchdown Maker".
SoFlaJets
every year 20 players that were there last year won't be here this year...I'd be happy with that much turnover again...nobody will give you anything for a Bryan Thomas
Sperm Edwards
- Barrett - Baker - Thomas (probably clears more than $500K since he has an escalator of up to $1.25M in there & started every game in 2008, so there's a good chance he reached whatever the incentive was to get at least some of it). Plus he clears himself completely off the cap for 2010 (assuming there is one). - Both Brad Smith & Eric Smith have escalators in their contract. If neither is starting, both will get cut. In addition to their $530K base salaries, each has an escalator for the greater of $880K or the low-RFA tender for 2009. So neither is worth their $1.5M cap number unless they're starting or unless (somehow) Brad Smith is the clear-cut #3 WR on the last day of pre-season. - Bowens is probably going to be cut or asked to restructure for a lower number. Tough call here. It might come down to him or Thomas. Bowens clears more room for 2009, but he's also quite a bit more versatile. - Oh, and also that Favre guy.
